rc_cola_j
I've noticed that my "idiot light" is flickering more and more after start up. When it started a months ago it was less than a second.....now it does it for a good 3-5 seconds. How do I go about testing the oil pump? Cuong Nguyen
A better thing to do is to hook up a good oil pressure gauge to troubleshoot your problem. I think if you have the wire disconnected, you won't have a light on your dash... Mine is not hooked up and I do not have a light but I plan on installing a dedicated oil pressure gauge. rc_cola_j
Where is best to "T" in a line or hook the oil pressure gauge up on a R50 3.3v6? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cuong Nguyen
You can remove the oil pressure sensor and tap into the threads there. I am not familiar with where the oil filter is on the R50 but the sensor should be nearby.

I am not familiar with where the oil filter is on the R50 but the sensor should be nearby. The filter is tucked up above the skid plate. I'll pull the skid plate off in the morning and have a look. Once tapped in, what is a good "range" for the oil pressure to be in?
Cuong Nguyen
Idle speed should be about 9 psi and at 2000 rpm no load should be about 60-65 psi.
