first cold start - hard start,

Recommended Posts

hi

just doing some more maintenance on my 91 Terrano TD27T with 240K on the clock. just doing some more research to do

minor fuel adjustment - if I can find them,

clean banjo filter - if I can get to it,

and find issue with cold hard to start - not slow to crank

with the cold start I checked the glow plugs they are fine, still haven't found out if 10 volts is normal for the glow plug circuit,

I did read about a sensor that's supposted to be in the intake that the engine uses to adjust the glow plug timer and pump setting.

the interesting thing is once its started it will start again no problem even if only running for a couple seconds, when I glow it 3-4 times it starts no problem but have to wait a few seconds between glow cycles other wise it doesn't glow again.

how easy is it to adjust the fueling a little bit. and the cold and hot idle

cold idle at 700

hot idle at 1100

I'm sure they should be the other way around

also have a tube hanging of the intake near the filter were I think there should be a vacuum hose but I can't find anything hanging lose

anything else I should check,
