Karmann
So it's time for the 'Merc to get some new shocks in the rear. It's a '95 E320 (W124) with 110k miles, and I'm looking to retain a smooth ride but increase the handling a bit. I have wider tires on already, just bought the Sportline size 205s vs. my non-sportline 195s and want to continue the trend of improving performance. I have Bilstein 4600 HDs on my Pathy, and love them, so I'd like to stay in the family. Bilstein HDs are available but are a bit on the ridiculous side of pricing for me- $198 each.... might as well get lowering springs if I went that route. So those are out, but there are Touring shocks available (twintube) http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/61A5661A0A0.aspx And also sports (monotube) http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/61A5658A0A0.aspx I was curious if any of you have experience with either and could recommend one over the other.
