basically, i dont want the airbag to deploy in my passengers face when im off roading...mostly because its my girlfriend who sits there, and she would probably kill me.....eventually ill have 5 point harness and wont need one and will probably just turn that space into a pouch for gps or something like that.

there are 4 wires that go to the bag, once its disconnected what is the computer looking for so i can stop the airbag idiot light? is there a resistor i can put in there or should i just ground a wire or two....or just a link to a fsm would work and i could figure it out on my own.

I am interested in this answer also, I do some pretty hardcore wheeling and so far it hasn't gone off; but not saying it won't one of these days.
