Remote Lock/Unlock for R50

I have tried a few ways but am unable to get a new remote control to sync with the existing car alarm/remote lock-unlock system. It is a factory system.

 

I also checked the thread from the prior gen but could not find the "black box" under the driver seat.

 

Any thoughts? Is there a R50 procedure somewhere?

This should work..

 

 

1:

Get in the vehicle and close and lock all of the doors.

 

2:

Quickly insert the key into the ignition 6 times (without cranking). This must be done within a 10 second time frame.

 

3:

Wait for the emergency flashers to light up. This signals you are in programming mode.

 

4:

Insert the key back into the ignition and turn the key to the accessory mode (ACC), without cranking the engine.

 

5:

Press the "Unlock" button on the remote key fob. Wait for the emergency lights to flash again. Remove the key, unlock the driver's side door (not with the fob) and then open and close to exit programming mode.

That worked for me, just got a new (to me) key fob. It took a few times of key dancing but it worked like a charm!
