Question About Axel Play

So I am putting my manual hubs on yesterday on my 97 and pass side was super simple no problem. Got to drivers side and the hub was a B(*&H to get on. Super tight and I actually had to use a rubber dead blow to help assist. So it is on and all is well and feels great but I noticed some play in the axel where I could hold the hub and move it back and forth a bit, so some in and out play not side to side. I did not have that on the passanger side. I don't get any clicking or any kind of noises when driving. What are your thoughts on the play? Bad bearing/cv/axel?

Thanks

James H
