moving part inside front door

Recommended Posts

Hello

Today I've noticed that If I open driver's door and quickly move it out and in something is moving inside it.

Every control on the door works fine and I don't have any problems. It even does not bother me while driving.

Is it dangerous to leave it as it is now?

I've looked at the repair manual and it's not that hard to remove door trim and look inside what's gone free.

Slightly related:

I've had the drain holes in the bottom of the doors gummed up with rust check, mud & god knows what... and the door would start to fill with water... every once in a while, I can hear it slosh when I open the door. Took a flathead screwdriver to clean the drainage holes, and let the water leak out.

I would say if everything is working - go by the 'if it's not broken, don't fix it' adage.
