for years I have gone down to the outerbanks n.c. at least monthly . It is one of my favorite things to do because I get to combine all of my favorite activitie in one foul swoop (wheeling , surfing , and fishing ) . It is amazing I wake up early and go out on the beach drive till I find a secluded spot , throw a line in the water and put the pole on the front of the truck , paddle out and catch some waves while I wait for the fish to hit to take back for a great callabash dinner . I recently found out that the federal government is trying to limit or stop all beach traffic in the frisco area . I may be talking to myself when I say this , but I don't know anywhere else (on the east coast , you westies have all the luck ) you can pull in nice tuna and clean overhead lefts all day. There is a little organization that is trying to stop this http://www.ncbba.org/index.html . If you are an east coaster and havent been it's time before it's too late , and if you already know what I am talking about think about trying to help in some way , because today it's my backyard and tommorow it might be yours . If we give them an inch they will take all the fun out of this hobby .

thanks for listening ,

p.
