Spark plug gap?

I really should know this, I have a 1994 Nissan P/U 4X4 with 3.0 motor, what should the spark plug gap be? The guy at Auto Zone said .032 when I took the plugs out they were a lot bigger then .032, I called them back and they said .032 What should the gap be?

Spark plug gap opens as the spark plugs are used and wear down through spark erosion.

 

The gap should be .032, and your plugs were probably in there far too long.
