the VC gasket is just a 1 piece rubber........... plus use gasket sealer as well....... don't over torque the vc screws.....

 

RMS only PITA on the list..... i was fortunate that both times i did it i had the engine out

right side valve cover is easy, the left side is not so easy.........the intake manifold partially covers it.

 

the "Plenum" covers the left side valve cover, not the intake manifold. removing the plenum to gain access to it is not too difficult, the only pain in the a** I had with it was the two small coolant lines at the very back that are a pain to deal with.

 

you dont have to remove the intake manifold to do any work on the valve covers.
