ok guys i got the 89 started it was running good all of a sudden it started sputtering and and died well i put good fuel in it still wouldnt start so i pulled the plugs soaked completly with gas pulled i have a neat little sand plug cleaner put them back started it up run but started to flood again im a little stumped its fuel inj whats causing the flooding i could use some help and i did drive it for a couple of days its is a stout little crawler it impressed my friend and he has a 05 powerwagon :treadmill: and i will get some photos

There's a how to in the garage section on running the ECU trouble codes. I'd do that and see what you come up with then take a look at you vacuum lines, plug wires, cap and rotor and electrical connectors (especially the MAF sensor). Good luck and let us know.
