Trans Oils ?

Just a quick question.. has anyone noticed if the auto trans changes better when cold with synthetic oil vs. dexron3, i dont have a problem when my Terrrano trans is hot but cold changes (mainly 2nd to 3rd ) are very poor for the 1st few changes until the oil warms then it is fine. So my question is has any one changed to synthetic oil and noticed a improvement in the cold changes. Just a note.. i always change the trans oil at 10000km in summer months and 20000 km in winter months including flushing the cooler and cooler lines,, hence its not a lack of oil change problem... Thanks Greenbushy 1990 Terrano

i've heard of something like that before and turns out the guy had to replace the torque converter as it wasn't holding pressure right or something ... I dont know for sure, I am a manual tranny guy myself ... but perhaps that will ring a bell with somebody
