Need clucth specs for wd21

Hello and long time no see.

I'm getting ready for a clutch job and I'm trying to cross reference parts for other Nissan applications. I heard we WD21's share the same clutch as the 87-89 300ZX, but I'm not sure if it's the turbo or non. I can't find the specs in my manual. Can anyone confirm 87-96's use a 250mm pressure plate and 1" 24 spline input?

Curious about people's opinions on ACT clutches too. Anyone with personal experience?

Ive heard that rumor about those being the same, but im not sure. I do have the pressure plate and disks sitting right here in front of me for my pathy. I do believe the splines are the same. I measure about 9 3/4 inches which I believe is about 250mm(my math may be a touch off)

Here are the factory Part Numbers.

Disk 30100-88G04

Pressure plate (Clutch Cover) 30210-01G12

I put a ACT clutch in my 91 300zx. I liked it, felt alot better than stock and I could beat on it with little fade. I did have to adjust the clutch master push rod due to higher needed pedal pressure. All in all, the stock clutch components are still pretty decent. Just dont buy a Key Value kit. They dont feel right after install and are not as strong IMHO.

AFAI can tell they are the same. I went ahead and ordered the Heavy Duty Street Modified kit. I'll post my results when it gets here.

The ACT part number for 87-89 300ZX(T) is NX7-HDMM, that is a heavy duty kit with a street/(occasional) race disc. They have other discs with higher torque capacity, but the MM seems like a good disk for a daily driver. It should be a huge improvement over OE... hopefully it fits a Pathfinder.

The 87-89 300zx tt clutch will fit a wd21, we share the same 250mm pressure plate and 1" 24 spline input. Anyone shopping for clutches should include that application, there is a ton of support for the 300s. This means more options than you will find just searching by Pathfinder. Some of the suppliers may tell you they won't work but I am using one in my truck now.

I got an ACT and it is definately a nice looking kit. It feels more grabby and takes some getting used to. I haven't taken it wheeling yet, so I can't give a good review yet.

The damper is that little box on the firewall that has to be bled if you do work on the clutch system. It's basicly a bad joke that Nissan likes to play on it customers. It robs you of the clutch "feel" and responsiveness.

This is all just hearsay for me right now as I just found out about this "free" mod myself and have not actually done it yet. It's pretty well known mod among the 280-300z crowds.
