KnightRyder
Ok heres my problem, my 96 auto keeps acting up, not wanting to shift. It used to be that every once and a while Id start it up and drive and it wouldnt shift out of 1st gear. Well i was heading out to the beach today and i come to a stop, upon accelerating it didnt shift out of 1st, so i pulled over and restarted it, then it drove fine for a little while until i slowed down and then the same thing happened. It happened a good 5 or 6 times, but sometimes if i popped it down into 2nd and 1st i could get it to shift, sometimes not. Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? Ive allready had the Transmission control module rebuilt, any help would be great.
lewisnc100
Have you tried adjusting the TPS, it's a quick easy adjustment with a feeler gauge.
