Fender Flares From A Fronty

I seen a fronty fender flares at the JY today and try to fit it to a pathy and it was a very close fit. I used the rear flares from a fronty coz the front flares are shorter in the front coz of the frontys tall bumpers but they have the same exact shape and fitted it against both the front and back of the pathy and man it will fit but it recquires a bit of modification.

The shape is exactly the same the only difference is the fronty is much beefier and wider by 2 inches from front to back which is needed for bigger tires and also thicker by about 1/2 inch.Theres room to cut the pathys fender well atleast an inch both in the front and back.

Unfortunately I couldnt buy the 2 rear flares coz the bed is not damaged.Im going to shop for those flares either on ebay or at the local JY and keep you guys posted. I was told that it would cost $75 for four rear flares if they find one from a damaged bed.

I have a stockers right now and the fronty flares gives me an inch clearance both in the front and back if I could get my hands on a pair atleast.

Looks like they would work, but just to let you know I trimmed and rolled my front fenders about 2 1/2" in the front and 1 1/2 - 2" in the back next to the firewall and was still able to use my stock Pathy flares. I did trim the flares a bit front and rear for clearance, but they still flexed enough to fit and not look stretched out. A set of Pathy flares will prolly be both cheaper and easier to come by. Just sayin...

I was actually thinking about taking my flares off. Are they held in with hardware from behind the fender? Sorry just haven't bothered to check yet!

Great input. However I still think that the fronty would look good seeing how beefy looking they are plus wider. If you look at your front fender flares where you cut the front part,I think with the fronty flares being wider itll mount real close to the edge of the bumper whick to me would look stock which I prefer even after its been trimmed

the main reason i took my fender flares off was because mud and crud would get under them and rub poor mini's paint and scratch it. i even have a surface rust spot because of them........ i am selling her flares..... they are slightly modded (trimmed but very unnoticeable) but in good condition.

If i could get away with it, king wouldn't have them either.....PITA takign them off after playing in mud :judge:

those fronty flares did look beefy tho........

Another thing I forgot to mention on this fronty flares is theyre completely enclosed unlike the pathy that has that gap underneath.
