Hey guys Im going to replace my 02 sensor today and would like to know if its better to unscrew it while the pipe is warm or just soak it with pb now while the pipe is still cold and unscrew it?

Im also changing diff oil and would it matter if the front or rear of the pathy is lifted by means of driving it into those car ramp (black or grey one from walmart)? Doing this means that its going to be tilted either in the front or rear and it wont be level

Thanks all WAVEY

i would PB blast the crap out of the o2 sensor and do it all COLD. (been there, burnt that).........

as for the diffs, PB blast the plugs and make SURE you can get them out before anything else. lmao..... then try to keep the pathy on level ground. if it's slanted you may not get enuff fluids in the diffs ;)

Thanks slick.Ill try to fill it up when I have it flat on the ground. Getting it on the ramp just gives me more room to get my body underneath to loosen the fill and drain plugs.Im going to make sure I get the fill plug out first.

as a matter of fact Im going to pb it now and wait till tonight and do it again..Then tomorrow morning ill spray somemore and that darn 02 and all the plugs should come out without a fight:D

Got any access to a torch? If you can heat up the o2s a little they screw right out.

Yeah.Im going to try the pb trick first and if it doesnt then ill fire up the good ole torch. Thanks

That might help too...that 02 is badly corroded on the pipe.I sprayed some pb earlier and im going back out in a few here and spray some more..Maybe with most of the rust gone and a warm pipe itll come out easy.

Not sure if its been replaced before.

I always do my 02's right after I shut the truck off. just cut the wires and slide box end over it and it will pop right out of there. ive done one cold, soaked it in WD40. stripped all the treads. got pissed. welded new 02 in hope of never replacing. sold truck 2 weeks later and never had to worry about it going bad.

man up and deal with abit of heat. your exhaust isnt that hot.
