MaximumHP
So all of a sudden my tranny has been shifting erratically, mainly shifting up through the gears way to fast, so I'm in overdrive before I hit 30mph. The guy at the shop told me he thinks it's an electrical problem because he thinks it only happens when you turn one way vs. the other. I'm not so sure of that since it seemed to happen to me regardless if I was turning or not. I agree though that the up shifting may be caused by electrical issues. He also noticed the gear doesn't engage as strong or fast as it should, and also said the pressure was low and the pump is starting to whine. So I'm debating whether to try and find the electrical issue, or if I just go for the full monty and rebuild or replace the tranny and get it over with since it sounds inevitable anyway. What do you guys think? Edited October 24, 2006 by MaximumHP
Gotrek
I assumed they changed your fluid and filter before diagnosing it?
MaximumHP
I believe they dropped the pan to see if any parts and such were laying in there.
