  1. I've seen a couple different jeep sites where guys have pulled old ac compressors or the like from junk yards and set them up for on-board air. I searched the forum here with no success. Has any one done this and if so is it worth the effort?

  2. Often when the car is getting detailed by either a dealer or private party, they aren't very careful when they are cleaning the car and will spray the engine down with no regards to the electrical. Often water gets in the sensors and causes problems. Sometimes having them sprayed out with air and resetting the sensor can do the trick. Other times they have to be replaced.

Not always the rule but I ran into this on my 01 back in the day.

  3. I sold Nissans for 5 years (explains why i don't understand a lot, doesn't it) There is no way in HELL there would be unregistered Nissans on the ground. Not only is it the worst financial decision you can make but Nissan Corprate would make the dealer purchase the vehicles after a certain amount of time on the ground.

I did a search on this Legend Nissan, Ltd. and found this article. I wouldn't break the piggy bank open and fly to Syosset just yet boys.

  4. Got a couple of quick questions. First, Pickles, I assume that price quote was for brand new headers and not for the recoating option mentioned earlier. Secondly, I did a search and found several topics on headers but I couldn't seem to find anyone who had installed headers themself. Has anyone done a write up on this. I recal seeing on on Mr. Jims site but i think he took it to a shop. The bottom line question is: can a white collar newbie (me) and guy who works on domestics (my buddy) do this job right.

  5. Closing out my day @ work, I jumped on AC's site and pulled all the perfomance items for the 2drs. For about $1100 + Labor, you can do the pc, exhaust, kn, headers, & fan; all this gives you about 47 more hp (according to their info). So for about $23 bucks per HP, you are 200+. Let me know how it goes.

  6. hey 88, i was ready several of your post about rear lockers and would appriciate some direction.

Question 1- i see you refferencing several different rear end #'s, which is mine.(i have lsd & disc brakes in rear)

Question 2- i went to powertrax's website and they don't have any listed lockers for nissans but @ a different site (www.performancecenter.com) they seem to have lockers available but not model specific. after funnling down it asks me if it is a 10 or 12 bolt, then it asks me the gear ratio in rear. What are mine.

Thanks for any help you can offer. spending 300-350 on these seems much better thant the 750+250 for the air lockers. I guess my 3rd question would be, are these 2 brands my only options.

  7. I have been scanning this site for some time and decided to jump on board. Many of you obviously know your Pathfinder trivia. I have a 91 SE, which was the exact car I wanted in high school but could never afford. I have had if for about 1.5 years now and am just now getting into some of the more enjoyable trails CO has to offer. After going with a group of jeeps with a min 3" lift & the majority having rear lockers, both I and the group was fascinated at how well "old blue" did. Not only did I go every where they went (mud, snow, rock) many times I made it in only 1 attempt when it took them several, & other than a stereo I was STOCK! I knew I loved this truck but the spark is rekindled. I can only imagine the places this truck will go after I sell my children to pay for the mods I want. (kidding, mostly)
