-
thanks. that will work great now i need to find some time. to go find one somewhere. does it have to be off the same year or can it be from one in the same gen?
-
Do they make roof racks that are made to carry canoes? and still able to have lights? and has anyone put a stock tire carrier off a pathy and put it on one that didnt have one stock? and what did you have to do? any help would be great. oh btw i think i found my pathy. i will keep you updated.

Haha. thanks guys. yeah after i test drove it. i got back and and asked how much. he said 7k and i was like in not gonna even consider it unless you cut that in half and then want to make me a deal. Oh and it was out with all the cars for sale had a sticker and whatnot on it. well i guess i will just wait it out hopefully one will show up closer to me. I dont even really like the 90 inside. thanks again.
-
yeah theres a really nice 95 on ebay going for 1200. thats in way better condition than that one with less miles and 5 years newer. i would totally by it but its in new york and i can get out there right away to pick it up. it would be cheaper for me to fly out and get it and drive it back than to buy the one at that dealership. and i like it way more. i guess i should just be patient.

theres a dealership in our town selling a manual 90 pathy. in nice condition hardly no rust on body and like none on the frame. went thru a lot of clean up. like new belts alternator starter muffler runs way quiet broken cd player and no speakers. missing some buttons. 177k miles. and they wanted 7000 for it. i told them i wouldnt even consider buying it unless they consider dropping that price in half. even then i probably wouldnt. idk. blue book. for it is only like 3200 or something. idk probably not worth it i just want a pathy again...
-
yeah im gonna try to get it for at the most 3k
-
yeah the frame seemed to be in good shape. im going to go test drive it again with a friend to see what he thinks. and i will give it another really good look over. thanks.

so i checked out this 95 pathy xe. 103k miles. auto. body and frame in good shape, inside in like mint condition. no leaks, all power things work. she had the oil changed regularly at the same place everytime and all the work done on it there. but the RPM gauge isnt working and the transfer case was a really hard to shift. and i thought the tranny shifted kinda funny. it shifted at high rpms. (my old pathy was a manual so is that just normal for an auto?) and wasnt super smooth when changing gears. is that a bad sign or is that mostly normal? shes asking $3800. I think thats a lil much. but idk what do you guys think is it worth it?
-
i just test drove one that was really stiff. but my old one slipped in with ease.
-
and the transfer case shifted really hard. like it took a good amount of strength to move it. is that an easy fix?
-
well i went and checked it out. Body was in very good a shape. a lil rusty but definently way better than anything i have ever seen on others. and the inside was in great condition. all power and everything worked. oil changes all done on time at the same place. no leaks anywhere. only 103000k. newer tires but just street tires. just a few questions.... Umm the tranny was a lil wierd. atleast i thought. it seemed to go to high rpms before shifting and shifted a lil rough. is that normal? and the rpm gauge was not working. and the brakes a lil squishy. what does any of that mean? like bad tranny? is it worth 3800? I have a week to think it over shes going on vacation. Also my friend who took my old pathy is gonna give me some money and whatnot for all the work i put into it. so thats kinda cool. if i get another pathy i kinda want to see if he will let me take his tires and some parts and swap them because he doesnt go off road. idk we will see what i can get.
-
thanks im about to go look at in like 10 minutes. wish me luck.

does anyone know specifics on a 95 XE auto. like gear ratio? LSD? or any tips to check out when i go look at it?

I loved driving my cars through the snow but my lil cars didnt do so well. my first car a 90 mazda 626 was amazing but short lived when totaled by a huge ram pick up. after about three cars and a year later I met this new kid with an 86 suburban 5.6 liter diesal. thing was a beast. and we pushed it to the limits all over. So i went on my search for a truck. Got a lil 4 cylinder 2 wheel drive ranger with crappy tiny lil wheels that i took anywhere that it would allow and many places it didnt then sold it to my dad which he traded for a 99 dodge dokota 4x4 which i consistanly borrowed from him and everytime i brought it home (a lil more muddy than before showed up well on its white paint) he also checked it out sure that i broke something. but i got him starting to want to go 4xing. i soon got my first pathy an 89 with 31" tires and lsd that would go anywhere and looked crappy enough that i didnt care what would happen to it. now that my friend has taken that back im on a search to find another one!!! im so hooked.
