    Rocker Panel Question?

    I have a 99 pathfinder. I have a dented rocker panel (panel under the door). I was wondering if anyone has any idea where I can purchase one online because the body shop gave me an outragous quote of 1800 to fix everything (that includes labor).

    FYI: The door makes a squeak when it is being closed. The whole panel is dented. When I get back in town sunday I will post some pictures. Thanks for all of the information in advanced!

    I just had it inspected at Pep Boys. I was told that my front struts are bad and needed to be replaced. That was causing my wheels to be angled wierd. My ball joints were fine as of now. $77 (2 total) per strut, $70 for alignment, and $109 for labor. Does this sound reasonable? Any opinions?

    inside tire wear can DEF be bad ball joints. check them. I put it up ona lift/stands and try to cmpress the ball into the socket usinga big channel lock pliers, it there is movement, theyre shot.

    I was looking at my tires last night and they are wearing uneven (more wear on the inside). This will be my second pair on new tires in the front in 2 years. Could the ball joints be bad? If that is a possibility, how can I tell?

    I have a 1999 2 WD Nissan Pathfinder with the 3.3L V6. I have been experiencing problems with steering wheel shaking back and forth at 65-75 MPH, and have become tired of it. I have had ALL of my tires rebalanced and had the Pathy re-aligned. However, the problem still continues. I have had 2 different mechanics say that everything is aligned and balanced right. Does anyone know what else I should look at? I have new tires, but the problem has been around for about a year now.

    Rear window weatherstripping

    I have a 1999 Pathfinder, and the weatherstripping that goes around the rear window on the drivers side is cracked all the way through. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could order the replacement rubber at? I am having trouble finding this. Seems like it would be a common replacement part, but I am finding out that is wrong.

    What to do?

    I have herd about people doing a conversion from a 2wd to a 4wd. My pathy has 80,000 miles on it, and I was wondering what is involved to make this work. Has anyone done this? If so, how much? Or would it be better to sell the pathy and try to get one that is 4wd? May be a dumb question, but I figured it would be worth a shot. :shrug::tired:

    Do you notice anything else with the truck? Any CEL or high idle or rough idle? Go scan your codes, sometimes you will have existing codes but no CEL.

     

     

    Not too much out of the norm. I will scan for codes....I don't have a CEL, and didn't think about doing that.

    I have a 1999 (not the 99.5) Pathfinder that gets about 11mpg city and 16mpg hwy. :rant2: I don't think this is normal. Does anyone have any reccomendations as to what I should check out? Any information related to this would be VERY helpful.
