  1. Year: 1999.5 QX4 Lift: none Wheels: stock 16" Tires: BFG AT KO LT245/75R16 Notes: no rub, wheels completely stock.
  2. There is a recall on the fuel filler tube located in the left rear wheelwell in R50 pathfinders. That could be your issue if you have heavy winters where road salts are used. Call up Nissan and give them your VIN, they'll tell you if your vehicle is part of the recall campaign.
  3. I know that all Infiniti vehicles do not have any automatic locking features. I would assume that if the Infiniti's don't have it stock, the Nissan counterparts wouldn't either. Sounds like a malfunction or you have some aftermarket system.
  4. Hmm that's odd. I have a '99 so perhaps that accounts for the small differences. I'd say your best bet is to take out the the sensor and if you see coolant, then that's probably it. Do it when the engine is cold and you won't have much coolant spill. Compare the sensor you just took out with the new one and go from there. Perhaps someone else can chime in with the details of doing this on a '97 specifically.
  5. See that thing right beneath your red circle with the gold colored bolt and black connector and wire? That's your ECT sensor - just changed mine. You'll probably need a deep 3/4" socket even though it's not an American car. ( 3/4" roughly equals 19mm )
