  1. my 95 driver side power window doesnt work anymore... i took it all apart and the rubber gromet was broken, yall prolly know witch one im talkin bout

i ordered a new regulator but when it came in it was a manual one, never got the chance to send it back so now im stuck with it,

how hard would the conversion be?

any recomendations on how to fix the gromet... ive tryed glueing it straigt but havent found anything strong enough to hold it

please help im tired of my window fallin inside of my door and having to shimmy it up in public

  2. fix it. it's a PITA but not a huge ordeal. and i agree with uncc, may as well do a clutch job while yer in there :aok:

or, you gimme YOUR pathy, and you can have king. who needs a new tire, shocks all round, steering stabilizer, windshield, alignment, center link installed, locks installed, tint removed and redone........... yeah. i'll swap your (home fix) $200 fixable pathy for my $1300 fixer upper lmao

oh, and his smog test & tags are due. will that be a problem? hehe (another $175)

    :hugs:

King looks great and wouldnt mind havin it bein that its more modded than mine but the "WRAMBLER WAGON" as i call her, is my sweetheart, she aint let me down yet. (even when i dropped off into a tractor rut and water started running into the floor with bald street tires, she ate out of it, lol) being that im 17 i dont feel comfortable fixin it myself... the good thing about louisiana is we dont have smog tests :D

  3. Yes you were supposed to leave the rubber isolators in. They're there for a reason. You'll chance cracking body mounts with them out. They take some of the shock away from bumps. Shouldn't make too much difference with your doors though. The body may have tweaked a bit.

do you recomend putting the rubber pieces back in...

i took them out cuz i couldnt seem to get the body high enough to keep them in, wat should be loosened to get the extra inch out of it

  4. i drove mini me with a leaking RMS for 6 months fore i pulled the motor........ check your oil often, but ultimately, it will have to be fixed.

judgin by your beautiful collection of pathfinders im sure you would recomend fixin it right... not getting rid of it

  5. by the way.... wat would cause my doors to catch a little they shut but the driver side has to be slammed harder

was i supposed to leave the rubber stock pieces between the body and frame in... i didnt, please dont tell me it will cause problems later....

did anyone else have to relocate the power steering resevour?

and do i completely remove the fan shrowd from the truck (take it out of the truck completely)

  6. just letting everyone know how excited i am about installing my body lift(girlfriend bought it for me )... got up at 8 in the morning and was done before work at 4...

anyway, has anyone had any problems getting the 2 rear bolts to go in? im only having problems with 1

next step is the jgc coils and crankin my t-bars

as soon as i learn how to put up pictures i will

  7. i dont remember where i heard it just wanted to know if it would be stupid to do it or have it done....

i've tried researching engine numbers to see if it would match up but havent had any luck

if it did work just wanted some opinions on the job... if it would do anything, be worth the time and money, etc.

  8. 4x4parts.com = 3" lift AFIK

Plan on at least a weekend just to be on the safe side, then hope for a day

Soak all mounts and such with PB Blaster far in advance

    Grab a friend/breaker bar/pipe/torch for any surprises

That's about it. Double the time you *think* it will take at least, then take your time and pay attention. At best, it will go super-smooth and you'll knock it out quick with time to kill. Its pretty straight forward if you take your time and read, but it could be a PITA if you rush through. I did mine by myself in the parking stall of my old townhouse (no garage) with basic hand tools, but I also ran into some issues I had to deal with. It depends on you, the truck, and what you have to work with.

    Good luck!

wat kind of issues did you run into

i ask alot of questions i know but better to be on the safe side

  9. The wheels don't need to be changed, who ever told you that has a screw loose!!! Yes, there are several lines to be changed/moved. Brake lines, gas filler lines, coolant lines perhaps if you don't relocate the radiator, etc.

I HIGHLY recommend you take some time to use the search function to read up on body lifts. Many people have done them and there are plenty of threads about it. If you have trouble finding the information, we will help you.

What condition is your truck in? Any real rust? How handy are you mechanically? Do you have a good selection of tools and a good place to work on the project? Will you need to drive the truck within a day or two or can it be done over a week? These are the questions that determine if $500 for the install should be paid.

P.S. Where the heck is Loisiana?

the site that im getting the lift from sells a radiator relocate kit is it needed??

how much extra am i gonna have to spend on the extra lines, extensions etc.?

well my pathy is my primary vehicle... im 17 and its all ive got... its in perfect condition... NO RUST some people say its amazing that i dont have rust problems down here in louisiana (which is as pretty much as far south as you can go. im literaly 15 minutes from the gulf) anyway im pretty handy mechanically im a small engine machanic at our local lawnmower shop.... we have all the nessicary tools for the job... and unless i sleep at work it needs to be done in a day or so...

  11. im goin to put a 4 inch body lift on my 95 pathy...

i keep hearing people say stuff about changing my wheels and a few lines.... i have stock lego wheels

wat will need to be changed...

is the lift something i can do myself or should i pay $500 to get it done?

    any help would be nice

  12. first of all my electric window went out.... the motor still works but the regulator is out... how hard is this to fix?

second.... when i bought my pathy about 9 months ago the cruise control worked i hardly use it but the other day i tried to you use it and it didnt work.... the green light on the panel by the door comes on but thats it...

also now when i put it in 4wd the light on the dash doesnt come on, 4wd works but no light...

i guess i was hopin that this would all be easy to fix.... let me know

  13. i want to put the jgc coils in the back for some lift but dont know wat to do about the front, will cranking up the torsion bars to level out the front cause any problems?

if not someone tell me how to crank um cuz i aint got no idea where to start

  14. Well, let's see - all environmental issues aside:

You will see some horsepower gains as the original old-tech catalytic converter is a restriction in the exhaust. Gains will be minor, on the order of 5-10hp at best.

However, the difference in power between a straight pipe (i.e., a piece of pipe welded in place of the cat - the best possible scenario for power) and a *modern* freeflow aftermarket catalytic converter is.... ONE HORSEPOWER at most.

The ticket, depending on who issues it to you, could net you up to 10 years in jail and a $100,000 fine from the Feds. Yup, it's a Federal felony now. Surprise!

A freeflow cat specifically designed for our trucks costs under $75 on the open market.

    So, you tell me :

    1. No cat and the risk of 10 years in jail and a $100,000 fine, plus your truck wouldn't pass smog plus it'd be polluting and illegal, or

    2. One (or maybe less than that) horsepower less than the illegal configuration, plus your truck still passes smog, plus you aren't actually polluting, plus you're still legal but your wallet is $75 lighter.

    You choose.

Ten years ago, catalytic converters were hard to come by and hideously expensive in addition to killing power. That's not the case any more. There is NO GOOD REASON to hollow out or remove all the cat(s) from your truck any more - and every reason not to.

will adding a high flow cat and a flowmaster (40 series) be a good idea...

    will it sound good...

im not sure wat the flowmaster sounds like without the whole system...

  15. They're a well appointed truck. However, not always the most reliable. Some run forever, some barely ever run. It's basically luck of the draw with any Chrysler product.

Hope you got a good one.

my mom has a 91 cherokee and has 207,000 miles on it and still purrs, that was when jeep made jeep, anyway is it rare to get that kinda miles on a cherokee

  16. does removing the catalytic converter give me any horsepower. is the boost it gives me worth the ticket i get for not having one. just wondering. a friend of mine said just to take a rod and clean out the insides of the catalytic converter to pass inspections. he also said that i would have to adjust something with the gas or sumpthin about the way it revs, said it wont run the same without one...

just wonderin wat the experts have to say
