  1. Hey all, OK noob here, but what should my tire pressure actually be? The door reading is 26psi but the tires actually have a max of 44psi. I think the back are currently set to 35 and the front to 37. The shop that put them on there set them to that. I don't want to max them out I'm just stumped as to why so low on spec. Thanks
  2. @adamzan Yep that is a good perspective. I let it go to the shop for them to send back. Thanks for the reply.
  3. @SlartibartfastShop said it was bad and that is what they put in there. They won't let me have original part it till I pay 150 because of the hold from the refurbished one they put in there. She's running great now. No check engine light. The whole point for me was to potentially sell it to recoup a portion of my repair costs. Could I even get anything for a bad one if that is the case? Seems like maybe or maybe not.
  4. Hi all, Just wondering if I should pay the $150 fee that the shop is asking for my old 98 Pathfinder ECM. They put a newer one in, but they have a hold on it from the makers of the refurbished one. Is it worth it to keep? Could I sell it to a refurbished company that fixes them or possibly on Ebay. Obviously I'm out of my element here, but I'd like to know if I should keep it, or move on. Thanks.
  5. Hey everyone, So forgive me if this hasn't already been discussed, but today after speaking with the Toyota dealer about my 2011 Prius, I found out that quite a lot of cats are being stolen in California. The guy was telling me he has over 250 vehicles waiting for parts; most of them Priuses (prii). I had mine stolen in October of 2022, and it could be another 2-6 months for all I know. Being that my 98 Pathfinder is kinda at the level of a 4runner, which I'm told is a high risk vehicle, I thought I should probably ask around about a cat cage or something that would be worthy of installing. I know Nissan isn't listed in one of the sites I looked at for cat cages. I guess it is better safe than sorry? I might be due for a smog soon so I'm just trying to prevent the worst case. Is this 98 even a risk? Thanks
