i was wondering what kind of diff set up did these things come with...i know the rear lsd was an option. but wha about the front? is it open, lsd, or locked?

Theres nothing to it, pull the carpet up in the cargo area, remove the access panel, disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors (try not to get fuel on the connectors/wires) pull the pump and install the new one in reverse order.
Before you pull the pump, start the engine then pull the fuel pump fuse and let the engine go till it dies, that will release the pressure from the fuel lines
c good thing i asked i would have pulled the tank lol

finally gonna change my fuel pump in my 91 XE v6 this weekend. does anyone have any info about possible unforeseen problems or hidden bolts?
any info would be great and help speed things along. it looks like its gonna start raining soon and i wanna get out on the trail.

i'm looking into body lift, tires obviously, no more rear sway bar, and exhaust. i'm leaving for the coast guard within the next year or two depending on how things work out with my work, so i dont wanna get too invested until i get settled in and got some spare money, but i never know what im going to do. haven't looked for that awesome orange sticker yet..nor do i even know if the 1991 XE v6 had that as an option...i do wanna build a capable truck for weekend driving on trails and the riverbed. how much do you think it would cost to obtain a LSD?

hey my problem is a little different...i don't have electrical locks...my key doesn't unlock my door i know their is a little piece of plastic that connects the key lock to the door lock..i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem..or knows where i can get a kit for this..i don't really wanna take the time to go to the junk yard and find the parts...but i will if i have to

idk mine has run on 5w20 for at least 200k of its 250k life with no problems my step dad who had the car before me also is a mechanic

thanks guys for the info...ill go thicker. I live in central California so its warm but gets into the hi 30s in the winter...but still wondering if their is any advantage in the larger filter
Also i noticed a squeak from the front drive system i was wondering if their is any ongoing problems with idler pulleys or anything else. just replaced the fan clutch not too long ago( tho i should have went electric o well i didn't have to pay for it)

hey i was told to use 5w/20 oil and the ph3682 filter. i know u can use the pg3600(larger filter) i was wondering what is the advantage of having a higher capacity oil filter? other than it has more filter surface area to filter with.
and what oil do you use/how much do you use?

thank you guys. i got a fresh timing belt. my step dads a mechanic, and thankfully passed hes skills to me (built my first motor by my self when i was 11)
the truck is in great condition. other than a cracked dash and it needs a fuel pump (which he bought and never put in) the throwout barring has been off and on for a year now but what do u expect when between him and i we got over 100k on the clutch with no signs of slipping
(he hasn't drove it off road in over 2 years)

I love the look of the red pathy with black rims. i have the same color pathy but im still stuck with stock come wheels.
