  1. Took off and tested the oil pressure sensor switch, unfortunately it was working fine
  2. No I didn't because I don't have one and it was changed when the car got serviced, I know that you should change oil filter too when you change oil
  3. Also it doesn't seem like the oil pressure is low because of there isn't enough oil, though the pathfinders oil dipstick is abit difficult to read.
  4. How's it going guys, Having some problems with my pathfinder. So the car was serviced 3 days ago, they replaced timing belt and did full service like oil change and looked overall condition of the car. They said that everything is alright and the car has been well looked after. Problem started yesterday when oil pressure light started blinking, luckily I was about 200m from home and I drove car home. When I was about to reverse in the driveway the engine stopped and didn't start again. I thought that engine oil was low so I added some oil and it started again and the oil pressure light went off, but that didn't help when I took the car to a drive again the light went on again. Some things I have noticed -There seems to be some moisture in the engine because under the oil cap was some milky goo but that could be from driving only short distances -Pretty sure that I have leaking rear main seal. What I have done -I drained the oil that was changed and added new, didn't help. I'm really frustrated because I don't know any mechanics in the town and from experience I know that they'll try to rip me off if I don't know what's wrong with my car, so I'm hoping to find the answer.
