  1. the other day as I was driving home from some pretty rough roads, lots of vibration, the drive quality began to feel as if I was out of gas or even charge so I looked at the gauge cluster and watched as everything dropped to a 0 reading. the headlights remained on and so did the radio but when I tried to reset the computer by turning the key off then back on it wouldn't crank. it was like I had a dead battery. previously in the month, my alternator went out but it didn't quite feel like that nor did my electronics fail as they would with a dead battery. I'm thinking maybe a relay or the starter is bad but I wouldn't think some of the symptoms would apply to those issues. any ideas or certain responses would be welcome and appreciated
