  1. the atp light only comes on whan the trans is in park, as soon as i shift it turns off
  2. i went to the mechanic and had him replace it. i paid $75 and all he did was cut the wires, put a socket and a rachet up there and lefty loosy. i was pissed , i could have done it myself. i thought i couldnt fit a rachet up there ... should have tried anyway. after it was replaced the light stayed on... i replaced the relay also ... light stays on. i honestly dont know what to do next. do i need a scanner to turn off the light ?? im trying to find out where the grounded to the chassis also
  3. i have a 2002 nissan pathfinder. i recently got a atp light . im trying to replace the sensor that connects to the transfer case but its stripped and its also very tight spot. here are some pics http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii42/towncarblue/IMG_20160715_085408.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii42/towncarblue/IMG_20160715_085441.jpg as you can see im having a difficult time removing this sensor. before i go and pay a mechanic how do it i would like to do it myself....... there is a big bolt right under it and its stopping me from getting a good grip. what happens if i remove this bolt ?? how do i take out this sensor ?? please help
  4. i went to take out the Transfer Neutral Position Switch but i could not get it out, its rusted , when i tried to put a wrench to it , it stripped. and its in a very tight spot. im gonna have to pay a mechanic to take that out.
  5. nevermind . found a pic. turns out i had the valve connected to the vacuum switch instead of the intake.
  6. in recently took apart my intake manifold in my 2002 nissan pathfinder. unfortunately i do not know where the swirl control valve solenoid valve connects to. does it connect to the intake box or the vacuum switch assembly ? i had a p1130 error code after i removed the intake manifold. i took it apart again to make sure i put it in correctly . the code kept popping up. i went and ordered a brand new tank assy-pressure { 22370-4w01a } and the code keeps popping up. i replaced almost all the vaccum hoses { could not get the one that goes behind the tank assy pressure , i have no idea how to replace that one , its tight and i lose sight of it} can someone let me know where the Swirl control valve/control solenoid valve connects to ?? 22370-4W01A TANK ASSY-PRESShttp://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-tank-assy-press~22370-4w01a.html vacuum switch http://www.courtesyparts.com/oe-nissan/223602y900
  7. ordered the part , will post update when part arrives
  8. this is the switch i replaced http://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-switch-assy-4wd~32005-0w01a.html it is located on the side of the transfer case
  9. i have a 2002 nissan pathfinder se 4x4 . my dash has the atp light light on. my 4h to 4lo is manual select { shifter } and the light only comes on when the tranny is in park. the light goes away when i shift the tranny out of park , and then comes back on whenever i put it in park even-though the car does not roll away while in park. i replaced the atp SWITCH ASSY-4WD part # 32005-0W01A. and the light still did not go away. do i have to reset something? how can i find out whats wrong ? is there any way to find specific codes other than a standard obd2 scanner
