I start my Pathy up in the morning no problems, but sometimes the rpm goes up to 2200, if I shift into drive there is a BANG, so hence the rpm is not dropping when shifting into gear, this has only happened a couple of times and to avoid it I either wait until the temp gauge is at running temp or I need to tap the throttle quite a few times to drop the rpm. I'm thinking its a sensor of some sort and I could probably do it myself with the right info. Cheers

  1. Hi guys my 99 Pathy on start up will sometimes rev up to and over 2000rpm, if I shift into D the rpm does not drop and a load BANG occurs from the tranny through to the diff, so now I have to wait until it's at normal temp or I have to tap the throttle quite a few times to get the rpm to drop to a min of 1500rpm for safe gear change, this will also so happens on short trips 5mins or so to the shops. I think it may an idol sensor but need some more info on what part, location in the motor. Cheers Jase
