  1. I dont think there is s step-by-step for drive belts. Belts are some of the easiest work you can do yourself.

    1. Remove front lower splash shield.

    2. Loosen belt tensioner mounting nuts(14mm). Only a few turns are necessary.

    3. Loosen belt tensioner bolt counterclockwise(12mm). You may need a extension for this(6in). Back them off until you can slip the belt off, or when you are at the bottom of the adjusting bolt(do not force).

    4. Slip the belt off of the pulleys and manuver around and off of the fan. Slide the rear belt off the compressor and crank pulley.

    5. Installation is reverse of removal. Adjust belts tight, but dont get carried away.

    6. Tighten tensioner mount bolt.

    7. Start engine and listen for any noise. If the belts are noisey, adjust further as needed.

    8. Reinstall lower splash shield.

Hope that helps. If you have any mechanical skill, you should be able to do this rather easily. If you have any other questions, post them up.

Great write up. I did this on my 03 when I rolled 60k. It was a piece of cake and only took around 30mins to do it. Pretty easy task, just don't over-think what you are doing, and things will be fine.

  2. Well this would be a good idea to fix. Just start with the cheapest solution. Resest the ecu (unplug the battery and hit the brakes a few times, then wait like 5 minutes). if that don't work, take the fuel pump assembly out and see if the float got stuck. If not that, then replace the sensor. If not that, then the fuel pump assembly must need to be replaced. Good luck.

I have a code scanner that allows me to clear the code(s), did that already. I am going to fill it up today and see if that might unstick the float. If that does not work, my question is: can I buy the sensor on its own or do I need to replace the entire assembly? have tried looking for just the sensor, but have not had much luck finding it.

  3. Just curious if anyone else on here has had to deal with that issue? My 03 (87,000 miles) Pathy decided to throw this code this morning. My real question is, do I have to replace the entire fuel assembly or can I just replace that sensor? Yes I know that I could just monitor my fuel range by keeping track of miles, but I am very anal about my cars and the CEL light being on would drive me bat-@!*% crazy.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  4. I can do it for half the price of what they are quoting, the only thing I will need is access to an air supply for the impact gun. I have coil compressors and everything else necessary. PM me if you are interested, we are about to go on vacation until May 31, but I can help you after that at some point.

Also, did you get a new strut bearing, OEM (not KYB)? That would be a very good idea so you don't get some noises down the road. And if you are planning on lifting, this would be the perfect time to do it.

    pm'd.

  5. Just seeing if there is anyone around the Richmond, VA area that would be willing to assist/do (for money of course) new shocks/struts on my 03 2wd Pathy? Moved here recently and don't really know many people yet. Got a quote for $200 for the rear shocks and the front they were wanting to charge $200 per side! Just seeing if anyone would be willing. I will provide shocks/struts and beer. Appreciate any help.
