I don't have cruise and I haven't tried the horn. I will tomorrow for sure. If that is the problem how hard is it going to be to repair?

I recently replaced my rack and pinion along with outer tie rod ends on my 97 Pathfinder. All was fine for about a week. Today I heard a weird noise when I was in a turn, then again with a snapping sound coming from behind the steering wheel. Since then my airbag light has been flashing... I pulled the fuse just to make sure I didn't get a deployment but I don't know where to go from there to fix whatever I messed up!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.
