  1. So I finally bought a replacement for my window motor and the only plug that is on the motor i connected with out putting it in just to test it) to the other side of the plug that is on my car. I turned my car on and nothing. The motor wouldn't go up or down, it just stayed there. Now the connection that goes from the car to the switch you used to make the window go up and down is missing i found out. If anybody knows what that's called then please let me know so i can get a new one. Anyways does anybody know what wrong with it? I asked that guy if it was a working motor and he said it was so... I guess i can trust him. Also I still think it could be that same connector that is missing on my back door switch, could be missing also on that same switch on the driver side. I don't want to take off the door pannel to find out though :(

    What I bought:

  2. I have a 96 pathy and my window motor is shot. So i want to go to the junkyard and get a new one, but all they have there is a 91 and a 95 pathy. I'm just wondering if anybody knows if those window motors would fit mine? Also both my rear and front windshield motors are out to so will a 91 or a 95 windshield washer motors fit mine also?

  3. IIRC it's sort of tucked into the fluid tank, not sure how the r50 system is configured. Follow the fluid tube from the squirt nozzles. :) If you find the plug for the pump, you can test with a tail light bulb or something to see if it's getting voltage. If it's getting power, but not turning, it might be salvageable. I pulled a seized pump out of my WD, pulled it apart, cleaned up the bushings, oiled it, and I've been using it since.

I figured out where the pump is im just wondering how the hell i get the bumper off and stuff. Is there a good tutorial any where"?

  4. Flowmasters are a chambered design and are usually really bad for interior noise because of this. The best mufflers, in my opinion, are turbo-style which is what cars come from the factory with. You can get ones that sound great without "rattling your brains out" as KTempleton put it.

Ok ill try and look for one of those, thanks again guys and ill let you know how my search goes :)

  5. Dang it! I wish I was lazy enough to have thought to do that. Some of those heat shields (that weren't rusted yet) were hard to remove. I'm just guessing that is the OP's issue as he/she is located in Cleveland.

Thank you so much i got it working and it sounds so much better!! BTW I live in SC my brother made this and put ohio for some reason and i'm a he also :)

  6. First, welcome to NPORA!

Second, your '96 has a VG33E engine which has a timing belt, not a chain. I'll almost bet money that your rattle is coming from your exhaust heat shields rusting off. You can crawl under your Pathy when every thing is cool (before the engine has been started) and start bumping the exhaust pipes with your fist. A lot of us have completely removed all of the shielding from the catalytic converters all the way to the muffler. I have had mine removed for a couple of years now and have yet to "go up in flames".

Of course, this might not be the source of your rattle but, it is the easiest thing to check.

Thanks so much for helping me and I will deffenitly check that out, and let you know if that fixes it :)

  7. Ever since i can remember i have had this rattling noise in my engine. It's only when i flor it or some times it does it randomly. I have done some research and everything i found people said it could be the timing chain, but i'm not sure. Also i have just started to get the squeeking noise when i slow down. I think it could be the breaks but again i'm not sure.
