Hey!
I'm looking for a light bar to throw up top, but wasn't having luck finding one that would fit my 98.. Anyone with lights on their roof have suggestions?
-
1 - stop playing in water with your truck :-)
2 - clean up your air filter
3 - let your mass air flow (maf) dry up.. have a look at it and be careful not to damage it
4 - if you think it swallowed some water, do an oil change.
5 - repeat step 1
Lol, it was just a huge mud puddle, I believe a few friends got videos. hopefully they kept them, but it wasn't really deep, just about up to the running boards. I have a cool air intake so, I'll need to take the little cover off and clean the filter. I'll probably do an oil change as well.

So I've found a roof basket for an awesome price on Amazon. It's a 48.5 inches, but I don't know if it will fit the rails going across the top of the car. (See my sig for the roof rails). I would go measure it, but...... I'm in school.. lol. Does anyone know the specific dimensions of the rails on the top? I just want to make sure it won't be to..Big,small,short,long, before I get it.
That's for any info!

I have a really big problem right now with my Pathfinder. I waent through I farely large puddle with a LOT of mud under it. My friend in his 2WD Tundra made it through, so I thought I could do it aswell. I went through, then the car shut off at the very end. I got it to start again, then drove out (barely). It wouldn't rev of 3k RPMs and wouldn't engage to 2nd. Drove it around in a parking lot, finally started to rev higher and engage 2nd and 3rd.
I assume, that it's flooded. If not, then I think I have a HUGE problem.
Will someone PLLLEEEAASSSEEE give me some ways to un-flood it?
I have been letting it idle, and revving it a lot, and it progressivly revs higher, so I think it's getting better.
But, PLEASE, help me. It's really urgent!!!

Hey everybody!
I finally have the money to buy a Rack/Basket. The Yakima basket is kind of what I have my mind set on right now, with the Tire carrier. I was wondering if you all could give me an opinion on which one is the best. i know it's just a roof basket, but I'm sure there are some differences in them that make them better than others.
Now, I was going to post this in the for sale section, but I have the feeling not very many people look there that much. So, I was wondering if anyone was selling their basket. It doesn't have to be Yakima, so anything is welcome. Thule, Yakima, what ever you got, shoot me a PM with a price.
If not, then I'm assuming amazon and ebay will be my best bet.

I have mine on my bumper (two 2 footers) lol. They pick up signal fine too. The mounts I have aren't meant for the bumper, but they do just fine. I don't have any problem with sturdiness either, so if you really wanted to you can put them on the bumper.
One thing I did just think about though, is that you probably have a newer model R50.... So, I don't know about the bumper thing.

Lol, that sounds like something my friends would do... bu they wouldn't stop and would get away. I on the other hand, would never do that because I'm not one to try and piss people off. But that is a very funny story haha. That kid wasn't tough or fearless anymore once you caught him... lolololol I hate when people like that fill out the "teenager" stereotype. Obviously not everyone is like that though haha
Good thing you got the money for it though!

Awesome man, will do. Thank you!

Yeah, i'm not siphoning @!*%.. lol my da will have to do that

Hey everyone!
I am having a problem with the little wiper fluid shooters. Everytime I pull in the wiper handle, nothing comes out. The wipers move, but no fluid comes out. I went to Auto-Zone and got some more fluid, thinking it must be just out. It was very low, so I put new fluid in, tried it out again and nothing happened. Just the same, no fluid, but the wipers move.
Anyone have any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it?
Thanks, Garrett.

I have Yokohama Geolanders on my R50 and they have about 40% tread left on them. They ride very well on the street and you would be surprised they run perfect for me off road lol. Although they are not ment for all the mudding, un-even ground riding and major hill climbing, I have had no problem at all with them, they're great! Like I said, they're great on the street as well. Great in the rain as-well
I suggest them to you, my friend.

I love Russia, especially the Kamchatka region. It is so beautiful there. Great pictures and pretty rig!

I tried out the fitment on 31's with 15" steel (not sure of the spacing) on a stock lift, but they rubbed pretty bad. Say if I kept the rims I have on mine right now (look at my sig picture) would i need any spacers for 31's? If so, what size?
-
Great pictures man!
Quick question, what size wheel spacers do you have(if any)?
-
I noticed the shipping was crazy lol so yeah, I'm from Georgia. Is that where they're located?? I know someone that can do the welding for free, so that will help too. I will probably only do the Front Bumper so I can get all the options I want on it, instead of getting only the bumper and d rings on the front and rear. I want the winch mount, Switch kit, turn signals and the light bar. and still have money for lights to put on the light bar. All that is about 650.
When you say it's gonna take a long time, how long is it on average?
-
It may not be with the carrier. I just missed that. I think it's just the bumper I was thinking of.
Edit: Yeah, your right. Didn't notice that. Reason I was saying Multicarrier was because that's what it said on the site lol. I don't need the Tire mount anyway. when I sai 435, I had the CB mount and the License mount thing.
-
it is very possible. I don't know ver much about it, but I know you can do it.
-
I see. (rubs chin) Good to know. Hopefully that is only a problem for WD21's. haha.

Hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone has the Steel Wincher and or Rear Multi Carrier from www.tacticalarmorgroup.com. If not, do any of you know if these are worth the buy? The price is great, in my opinion. I have been searching far and wide for Steel Bumpers for my 98, but not until now, have I found one. I believe I've seen a few, but they are in the ball park of 1,000 to 1,500 dollars, which is stupid... I have recently gotten a job (some may know, from some of my posts that I am, only 16) so money for this will come in a few months.
Here are the Wincher and Multi Carrier.
With the add-ons I would add, the Wincher would be 584.75 and the MultiCarrier 435 Dollars. I would say, that's pretty damn good.
Give me your input!

I'm getting wheel spacers for sure. haha
I'm working on that lol

I did do some looking on tires, and I found some 31's that I will probably do.
As for the lifting part, the only thing is, I'm not paying for this. The rents are, so I'm not trying to break their bank. I'm going to hassle my mom about getting the whole kit, but I will probably not get that because of the price. As for tires. Tires are tires, can't get half of the tires done, so regardless of the price I gotta get them. Atleast that's what dad's tellin' me. (Parents are devorced, and this whole deal will be X-mas stuff from them). So, aside from what I really should do, I'm probably going to have to do just coils annd get some KYB shocks. ( car has KYB's on it, but I've been told to get longer ones to fit the lift) All that comes to about 400 to 450 bucks. Just above half of the full kit price.
Note, if I convince her I will get the whole kit.
-
Those are some great pictures you got there man. Love the rigs too!
Edit: nvm figured it out.

I second what mr07 is saying also. Save until you can get it all done at once. I piece mealed mine together and it cost me an extra $100-150 labor. I put new struts on my pathy 3 months before i got the lift...I should have just did it all at once.
If anything use the money you are setting aside for wheels and/or tires and get all the necessary hardware for the lift...struts, OEM hardware, coils, camber bolts etc. You can always drive around on your stock wheels/tires for a while before buying new ones...I drove on mine for 2 months before i could afford wheels and tires
You guys have a very good point.
Funny thing is, my tires are bald as hell and will probably be changed before I get a lift..

I found that thread of his, and I like that a lot. That's what I'm gonna do honestly, it's easier I would think.
