i blew up my transmission.. i have never heard of the fluids mixing.. its was lack of maintance by trhe orignal owner. i payed $400 bucks for a rebuilt transmission with 100,000 miles and changed it in my driveway. i also added a 12,000GVW transmission cooler.. truck goes great. also i have the knock sensor code and that wouldn't cause transmission problems. hell my selenoid for overdrive went and im still running it. gotta love nissan.

i just replaced a half shaft and the boots on the other side. i replaced the half shaft in my driveway in about an hour and a half. it wasnt hard at all and im lifted. i payed $65 for the half shaft and it held up to some hard wheelin so far.

It was already "too late" when i didnt have reverse last fall. so thats why i want to bypass it all.. because i did a transmission swap in my driveway. in the winter in like 25 degree snowstorms.. it sucked but im glad to have my truck back.

my truck sees alot of stop and go traffic combined with lots of hard offroading and i hear the factory coolers clog up.. so should i bypass the stock cooler all together and just go through the aux cooler.

I just recently put a new transmission in my truck and i want to bypass the whole factory setup.. I live in VT and its pretty cold here in the winter and i was wondering if id be running my transmission too cold. i bought the cooler from AC 4X4.

I get roughly 15 mpg. Need to get the hubs. Or a car.

Transmission is in and works good. Glad to enjoy my lift.

on top of the left side of the transmission bell housing by the motor. its held in by 1 10 mm bolt its got a metal shield on it. short and easy to break wires be careful.

Ok so i fixed that. and the transmission is up and in and im finishing up the assembly tonight and tomorrow i have some pictures of how i did it. i would be willing to post to help out anyone.

so when dropping the transmission i missed the cps and fudged it all up.. wondering if anyone knows where i can get the whole wire for that i pulled it out of the socket. and so did the place i got my transmission from.

im doing this trans swap this weekend with some buddies. i bought a used trans for $400 and it came with a transfer case.

the rig is an automatic and the lowering the transmission safely and without messing up the engine parts is what im worried about.

I have a 98 pathfinder se that this summer i am going to be swapping the transmission in as the current one blew up. the truck is at the shop right now and they want two thousand dollars to fix it. when the pathy died i bought a jetta and the head jaskets going in that. i need to fix this truck now so i can have my 4x4 back. my main question is, how hard is it going to be? i dont have a lift and all off that. its going to be on the ground.

I love to drive in the snow! I like to be sideways and go through the deep snow. Before the pathfinder I had a honda accord that had studs. The thing was a tank! The pathfinder has a small issue stopping on icy roads. It does the abs thing and makes a nasty noise up front. Anybody know what that is?

I had the same problem!! I could not figure out how to get it in 4lo. Got stuck the first day I owned it.
Finally got around to putting on the Snorkel
