  1. hey so i have been having weard glitches with my truck and finally clued in y. rear wiper wont turn out off locks a weard buzzing and my lights would blow the fuse all the time. anyways the bottom of my rear quarters are rusted out and have got sand salt water ice and snow up in the inside coating the meny conectors most are fine and have been cleaned. there is one that was messed. its green with a white top looks like it could just be a protector on a not included accesory. but there is 3 diodes in it and there fried good and it was warm. i was wondering if i could leave it out with out having any probs as i got to do another 14 hour drive in 2 weeks. filling the hole with foam for now

  2. ok cool my parts truck was a throtle body and has a brand new pump makes me happy. im going to change plugs cap and rotor and do a comp test first as i dont know when they were changed im going to try to reuse the wires as i dont have 110 bucks to spare right now. ya didint think the oil change would do anything. i would like to put a new engine in her as its at 387000 kms.

  3. ok so i did an oil change went from conventional to mobile one synthetic oil. then the next day the engine now idles weird sometimes its fine but other it will drop and rise from prob 0 to 1000 or just does. it revs fine and drives fine aslong as the revs are up. im just trying to figure it out and need some more opinions before i go freeze my skinny ass off out side. got a new cap rotor and plugs.

     

    also want to ask is a 88 fuel pump for a thotle body engine the same as a 94 multi port engine?

  4. ya i just dont want to go out in the dang cold and do it.

    the only having water in the rad and having trouble starting in the summer i dont belive as my z ran no prob with just water as the track did not allow cars with antifreeze race or have a extra catch can.

    ya ill be doing what the parts store recomends. im sure the clutch is fine as i can spin it by hand.

  5. ya so i drove to calgary a hour and a half drive the engine its self is not getting hot. i can grab any part of the engine but the manifolds and not get burnt. the thermostat is freezing cold so im sure its that. wishing i had some spare cash to do that when the engine was out now.

  6. i havent checked as its only been a few days and i try to stay inside. tomorrow may be a little nicer. i thinking that but the gauge will go up then drop to the bottom after a while driving

    my z was stuck open just took along time to warm up.

  7. hey so im freezing my butt off up here in the great white north as im getting very little heat from my pathfinders heater. did a frame swap so may have done something wrong refilling the coolent but not sure. the temp only goes to about 1/4 up the temp gauge at the most. is there something im not doing right never had heat probs with my z31s

  8. so i got my truck on the road and my first test of 250 km and it locked me out. i got out to check things over and i shut the door and it locked all the door with the truck running and my cell in the truck 20 mins out of town.

    so has any one had the prob i got a 94 le with the dealer installed alarm

  9. Good Job man! After all the work you did I knew you wouldn't let a starting issue stump you. You should feel proud driving that truck around after all that work.

     

    0 deg already :blink: Holy crap winter isn't even here yet! This Cajun boy has never even felt 0 deg weather. Down here if it's below 20 deg half the town shuts down. Accept for the wrecker drivers, they get really busy.

    im so excited to drive her it shall be nice im hoping to be done today or tomorrow as it rains/snows on sunday

     

    ya 0 deg is nothing as it is not that bad as its a dry cold not a wet cold as it on the coast. ya in about a month it should be as low at -20 to -40.. im just thinking that last year i was getting ready to go to go on a cruse to mexico oh now nice it would be to go again

  10. yes the rotor does spin i have been working with the vg30 for 3 years now in the 300zx.

    ya the gas should be fine drove the truck beginning on sept when i bought it. i double checked the belt its fine. i never touched anything in the ignition im wondering if i forgot a wire somewhere but not sure. dash should be back together tomorrow if its not snowing to much and ill put more gas in it.

     

    im just getting a little frustrated as i did all this work on the frame swap and now it wont start when i need it to.

  11. ok so i been trying to start my truck all i have done in a timing belt and a water pump. i did the body swap and a 5speed swap 2. the only thing that stumps me is a what it could be the only thing i can think of is something with the 5speed swap and the auto sensors or im low on gas. any other ideas. the other prob is its below 0 deg up here in canada
