  1. I think I may have identified the wiring I need looking at the Body Electrical diagram on the nissan4u site. I hope I'm looking at it incorrectly because it sure looks like one big wire that would need to be replaced! I think I need to replace all the wires in the bottom left corner of the image, those look like the ones going to the dimmer switch and instrument panel lights. Am I looking at this right? http://nissan4u.com/parts/pathfinder/us_r50/2004_6/type_38/body_electrical/wiring/illustration_5/ OldSlowReliable: I'll borrow a camera this week and share some pictures showing the condition of the wiring. If you don't mind, could you please take a look and let me know if it could just be a simple repair job? Thanks again everyone!
  2. So I bought a 2004 Pathfinder a couple weeks ago from a used car dealer and came across a s#itshow of cut wires and electrical tape under the steering column when I was hard wiring my Sirius! The wires going to the interior lights dimmer switch have been cut for some reason and twisted/taped with other wires underneath the dash.. I don't know much about vehicles at all or electrical for that matter, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of where I can find replacement wiring for everything that has been cut. I must've loosened some of the wires because now, the lights on the left side of my instrument cluster, speedometer and temperature, intermittently blink on and off and now the dimmer dial doesn't work at all. It's probably pretty hard to understand what I'm talking about without visual aid but I don't have a decent digital camera so I'll get some pictures taken this week and update my post. For starters though, does anyone know where I would be able to find replacement wiring for the dimmer dial and the lights going to the instrument cluster? Thanks!
  3. Just wanna shout out and say hey to everyone on the forums! I'm the most recent owner of a new (to me) 2004 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 Chinook Edition as of June 11, 2010.. So far just getting used to having an SUV after driving a Kia for the last couple years! I got a few questions but I'll mind the rules and post in the "Discussion by Model Year" area in case you have some electrical knowledge and might be able to help.. Cheers!
