is it the same with all the windows? (do any other windows work when the one is question does not?) find the wires that operate said window once you unplug the harness from the switch panel and jump them using a small jumper wire and see if the window works.... second thought, unplug the harness from the switch panel while listening to the breaker. there could be a short in the switch itself. also, you may have to wait a bit to see if the breaker resets.

yeah I get 17MPG with my stock '91 on 31" tires and thats between city and hwy. (~500km/tank)

ahhhh that's a fantastic idea! never heard of such an animal and I had wondered about how a guy would correctly time an engine if he got it partially put back together and had no way of trusting the timing that was done by the previous guy. sometimes perfect TDC is very hard to find without being able to go by timing marks with the head on. These things sold at auto parts stores or usually just off snap-on or mac trucks?

Extending/relocating differential breather tube?

From what I understand (I was curious about this too) most people just extend it but those who plan to tread a lot of really deep water, I heard of going a bit further and venting the diff inside the cabin (not sure of the details as to how this is done exactly, but would assume just a simple drilling of a hole, a grommet, and some silicone would do the trick) but I would mount the end of the vent tube right behind the tail light where there's a nice easy access panel conveniently put there by the good folks of Nissan. -
I had always wondered about what I refer to as a momentary locker which would be either electrically controlled or something as simple as a camble activated locker for my front diff. I just basically want something for the odd time when I want to crawl over a log or go up an exceptionally greasy bank/ditch

Yeah I did that but it's just not giving me enough headroom. Was there much difference between the models equipped with a sunroof as opposed to those without? I don't remember having this much trouble with my old XE. Guess I'm going to have to perform an exploratory surgery on this beeyotch, so hopefully I'll have a DIY for the rest of you over-grown hillbillies

I've been having a problem with comfortably fitting in my P-finder due to my absurdly long body and average sized legs haha. I'm 6'2" and have a 32" inseam so my head is constantly hitting the roof of my truck unless I slouch in my seat(luckily I only live less than 15mins from work). the truck in question is a 91 SE with a factory sunroof. Has anyone here had this issue? The only reasonable solution that I can see is to somehow get the seat at least 2" lower (3" would be awesome) has this been done? Before anyone throws a fit, I did a search but came up empty handed and yes, I know my seat is vertically adjustable and yes it's flat on the floor. help??

this. I am a crane operator and have a few lifting slings for this. I will never break them because they're rated at (approx) 13,000 lbs on a single bridle hitch (straight attachment not doubled up) but a double bridle hitch is good for double that

Link - how to make an electromagnet Replace the nail with some wire like a piece of coat hanger or something similar thats small enough to bend and fit in the hole. you can even use a big 6 volt flashlight battery or something stronger. Hope you get this figured out man

It's really hard to remote-diagnose these kind of problems but I would bet a least a couple of bucks that it's your coil. Have a look at the coil pack and see if there's any brownish goo starting to leak from it (might not be leaking but could still be bad) I'm not sure on the p-finder but the old dodge 318 coil is similar to a ballast in a fluorescent light fixture. Someone on here may be able to advise you as to the best way to check/test it.

What's involved with doing a body lift? Is the best way to do this is a big block of timber and a floor jack? I see the kit mentioned here is for the early p-finders but mine is a 91 so the website says I need a more expensive kit (special grade 8 bolts for the later model). Whats the difference? IIRC the 90+ needs longer bolts in the back somewhere but it's entirely possible that I'm just talking out of my ass. I wanted to rock a set of tire chains for high mountain roads but with the saggingness of my rear springs and my 31" tires there's not enough clearance.

Oh wow lots of food for thought here. The things that hold me back from roof-mounting them are drilling my roof and getting a good seal, wind drag, and overhead clearance issues but I figured these could be somewhat solved by rocking an Xterra rack. do you have 31" tires? If you're running 235s then I can assume a 2mpg drop due to my 31s??? This is most likely whats going to end up happening because I dont want to drop $300-$400 on a basket or Xterra (or similar) rack. Only problem with this is I want to run 4 lights and the lights I want won't fit in there.

I want to throw a set of 6" or so off road lights up top on my rig but I don't want to sacrifice what little fuel mileage I have. I currently average 16-17 MPG for you yankees (500 kms/tank for us canucks). I have been contemplating a myriad of mounting locations and I like the roof the best aesthetically. Has anyone done this with recorded fuel efficiency change? I'm also open to suggestions of alternative mounting places and light size. The truck in question is the one in my sig. p.s. - sorry if none of this is coherent due to me being pretty dang high. I just spent most of the night at the hospital with $%^&*#& kidney stones

wide tires have much better traction on dry pavement only. on wet/slippery surfaces they give you horrible traction due to much fewer pounds per square inch = hydroplaning

I've been chewing on doing this for a few days now as I bought my latest pathfinder this past spring and I have no service records at all. There is a tin-foil tag on the firewall written in japanese that looks like it's probably for the t-belt and if so, then it's current enough, but I really dont want to take the chance. I found a DIY sticky in the Garage section of the forum but its for a '99 3.3L. Are these the same?

So I noticed a couple of months ago that my DRLs weren't always coming on but since I typically drive with my headlight switch on, I never completely cared. The other day I noticed a low-beam headlight out (drivers side) so I changed it (yes I was very careful not to touch the bulb or let it get dirty during install) but this morning I discovered it out again. I should meantion that both times the high beam worked. Also, a couple of times now I saw my battery/alt light flicker for about a second and then goes out. Maybe I'll drop in a diesel - less electrical to irritate me

Hmm that makes a lot more sense. If so, then a simple splash shroud around the distributor would do more than anything. A lot of great info here! Thanks
