01 pathfinder LE 3.5, 130k miles, finally, engine check light on, P1320. It's like driving 15mins or so, then, engine start missing fire, can feel engine shake pretty bad for 2 mins or so, and the engine check light is blinking. I know it is a common problem for all pathy,My question is, is that 100% ignition coils failed? or possible just spark plugs? I know I have to change all 6 if I decided to replace them, but how long it takes(Nissan dealership)? thanks you all

2001 nissan pathfinder, pretty sure something wrong with the neutral safety switch. Parked over night, 80% chance won't start in the morning by the first time ( everything is fine, just no crank), have to shake the shift gear few times, then possibly will start, otherwise need put the gear on neutral, then start for sure. Possible just need a simple adjustment, BUT HOW? Possible I can do it myself? thanks

K, thanks for the help. Take off the skid, it looks like this, yes, there are 2 pumps, the near one is for the front, the far one is for the rear, and I only can hear the motor running from the far one, seems like pump fail for the front. So, I went to the local part store bought a pump which is kind of universal pump, which seems doesn't fit. Because on the OEM pump, there is 2 tubes on the motor, but the one I just bought, there is only one. Seems like have to go to dealership to get a OEM pump on Monday

I hate acting like a retard, but I have to ask what I don't know.... Does my 2001 Pathfinder have just one windshield washer pump, which serves the front windshield, or does it have a second pump that serves the rear windshield? Becasue the problem about my pathfinder, the front windshield washer decided stop working yesterday, the water won;t come out from the nozzle and the pipe under the hood ( rear one works fine), it works before. Looks like only one reason could be, the pump. Any one can give me any tip how to check the pump working or not? I try to uninstall the fog light, and found out the pump is on the other side which I can not see, and it is impossible to reach windshield washer bottle from the hood. Appreciate for the helps

update: Still didn't have a chance to go to the dealer see the new ecu reprogramming working or not. But, after 150 miles highway driving this afternoon, the SES went off by itself... anyone have any idea why? gas cap? maybe, it never feels tight, I always stop screwing the cap after 10 click.

Service engine soon light on 2 weeks ago, checked with a 50 bucks OBD2 scaner, P0430, thought might be a loosing gas cap, after 400 miles, light is back on. Got a friend work for Honda, with a SNAP ON scanner, just want to know what's exactely going on with my pathy, give me a code saying catalyst inefficiency. My friend said there's too many reason for this code, just wondering is there any of you guys dealed with this before? And how much do I look for getting this fixed? 01, pathfinder, 120k miles Thanks, really appreciate that

My pathfinder is 01, so it' h4. the solution is actually quite easy, the harness goes like this way, so just simplely plug those wires in to low and nagative, done thanks for the help.

Bought a HiD for my pathfinder today, cheap one. I know it's H4 for the headlight, so it's better to be a bi- XENON, so the low beam and high beam could both work. But for the HID i bought, it only comes with one position beam. After the install,HID only works when I turn the head light position to high beam. I am ok with only one beam working ,cause the hid is bright enough. My question is, is there any possible I can turn the headlight to low beam Position, and HID still works? Thanks for the help, and for you guys who want to buy a HID, spend a little more ,go get a BI-XENON HID set.

Anyway, bought this car this afternoon, almost 120k miles on it, but still runs strong, driver's seat can not go up and down, only upward and backward, except that, good truck. thanks for the help guys -

Thanks for the response guys, I am going to check that truck out tomorrow. this car was from US, spend 100k miles in California, so rust free, looks beautiful.According from the owner, he has been done CV boots and Wheel Bearings, Serpentine Belt in the last half year, and cd works fine, nothing wrong with the coils yet(may previous owner changed that already?) any more advice on those 01? -
Hi, guys. I am from winnipeg Canada(yeah, -50 out there baby), 25 years old I always want to get into this forum until nowl I am going to buy a pathfinder. I like cars, Current car is a subaru 2.5rs and a Jetta 1.8t, both good cars. Until this winter, my girlfriend wants to drive in the winter too, so, I am going to buy pathy. Always feel good about nissan, had 200sx, nx 2000, and maxia before, kind of a nissan fan.

My girlfriend wants to drive in the winter too, and something big, so, I’m going to buy a 01 pathfinder, please help. A co-worker’s uncle is selling his 01 pathfinder Le, haven’t seen the truck yet, but from the photo, seems like good shape, 110k miles, only problem is oil leaking from the oil cooler according his uncle said. I read as much reviews about those 01 pathfinders as possible, seems 2001 is a bad year for pathfinder, kind of few Significant Problems. Just want to have a idea how are they, here is the result. 1 all the owners for the 01 have been all replaced their 6 coil pack after they hit on 60-100k miles, seems like “must happen” problem for the 01 pathfinder. Is that true? Or just the owner has bad experience like to put their troubles on the internet? And how can I check those coils? 2 Transmissions. Some of the 01 owners had trouble with their trans. Are those trans that unreliable too? 3 slow window in the winter and bad cd player. Not a big deal for me, but wondering. Is there anything else I need to worry about? Any suggestion on buying those 01 pathy? Really appreciate if you guys could help.
