  1. Thanks for the compliments I really like the way it came out. A bunch of my buddies said they would look better spread out I am really happy I stuck to my guns and kept the lights tight together personal preference I guess. What made me do this is theres this one spot on my way to local snowboarding spot and theres no lights and its up and down a twisty hill can't see anything till its to late like deer and what not so I wanted more light. I am sure this has gone beyond what my needs are but I like going over board a little

I also installed a flip out touch screen TV I had sitting around at my shop the same day so got movies and lights in one day felt great to drive home with family guy playing and some bright ass lights B)

  2. looks awesome! how did you wire them?

They use the stock headlight wires for triggers for two relays one for each set of fog lights. Pretty simple in between the stock head light harness and trigger for low beam fog light relay I hooked up a switch this way with switch on they turn on with the headlights or don't turn on in till I flip the switch for low beams. As far as high beam I just used stock high beam wire as a trigger for the relay so they turn on when I flip high beams on automatically :aok:

  3. I have been looking for fog lights for a while now but everything so expensive.... I came across the Hella black series ones I likes them a lot but they cost like $130 each way to much for my pocket. I wanted to do 4 fogs at a minimum that's $520 for lights plus $240 for hid kits for them which then makes it a total of $760 which is way way to much for extra lighting for me....

A week or two goes by... I don't know why it didn't hit me before :? ... but I opened up one my catalogs for motor cycle parts and I bought 4 headlights for bikes. I did some scuffing and painting also ordered a set of high/low HID's for the fogs. Its awesome at night it is so fn bright and cost and in total less then 2 Hella fogs  I wired it up with a switch if I want them on all the time and comes on automatically when I kick my high beams on. The voltage went from 14.3 idle to 13.9 when all 6 hid's including my headlights are turned on at the same time very doable back to full voltage after 20 seconds }:D

  4. I am having the same issue out of no where. After I have been driving for about 20 minutes the truck starts miss firing around 3300 and up, only after it runs for while... Meaning its at full temp and driven for while before it happens. I think its the fuel pump. I put my timing light on it and it never lost spark while it was breaking up which means its not spark. It has a new fuel filter plugs and wires so that's what makes me think fuel pump. Any help would be very appreciated :scratchhead:

  5. I installed these Warn hubs right before a big trip to Boston. The only other thing I did at the same time as the install of the hubs is make a mods to the stock air box to flow little more cool air...

Anyway's I got 20.27 mpg on the way there during this trip I was stuck in traffic for almost 2 hours and only went 6 miles in the 2 hours on that tank :headwall:

I keep the truck around 2750 RPM a little less then half the max revs of the motor.

I also did use a tank of fuel transporting 4 people well 5 including myself and a wedding cake and sound equipment for my cousins wedding with AC on 17.5mpg windows up this truck was loaded heavy and I could sure feel it going up hills lol

On my way home AC on and front windows down and a lot of traffic all the way back speed was up and down but still got 19.68 MPG me and my buddy in my path and our baggage for the wedding I thought this was awesome!

I use to get 15 mpg around town normal driving and 16 highway before the hubs

My truck is completely stock other then Hubs, Air box mod, Leaky muffler, and a set of 31x10.5x15 set at 38psi, also has a Fresh good tune up

I would HIGHLY recommend these Hubs to every one. They are easy to install and what a diffrence 4 MPG on highway! I am sure I could squeeze out 1-2 mpg If I kept the rpm's lower and wasn't going like 75-85 mph

With my GPS I figured out that every 10 miles my truck would only registered 9 of them at a 100 miles on the GPS it was exactly at 90 miles on my odometer. My Speedo reads 75 mph I am going 82 mph... This is all due to the 31's just some info for people check gas mileage.... So when you Mileage is 300 miles on a tank of fuel it is really 330 miles which is much nicer

  6. junk yard? thats where i got mine for 50 bucks the whole set. problem with any flares is going to be drilling your own holes, making you a target for excessive rust. i just used self drilling (not tapping) screws, and skipped drilling holes in the fenders for the plastic clips.

No local junk yards :headwall: Does anyone have a extra set or know of place I can purchase a set from?

  7. sounds like you have more going on than just a faulty code trip. whens the last time you did a full tune up?

I had the intake manifold off traced the harness up too the top main harness. Then I cleaned the intake track changed plugs again installed new gaskets and water hoses with new clamps. I reset my ecu happy to say I am getting between 15-16mpg and no more codes

I think mounting this on top of intake manifold was a great.I love being able to change it in future if it goes again with out pulling the intake manifold off which sucked to do. The only draw back I see is the fact that it wont detect a rod knock or dentination as quick... My truck now starts and runs way better then it has in a long time

    After about 4500 miles :aok:

  8. I am looking for some fender flares for my 98 Pathfinder but I can't seem to find anything aftermarket online. Do any company's make something that will fit? My truck didnt come with any stock ones so I have nothing  but my 31's throw dirt all over my truck so I could really use something :aok:

    Thanks for any advice

  9. sounds like you have more going on than just a faulty code trip. whens the last time you did a full tune up?

Whats sad is I already put new wires, plugs and a fuel filter and it didnt change the mileage one bit. cleared the codes and took of battery terminal for 12 hours didnt fix or help it at all. So I bought a new OEM knock sensor was thinking about taking it all apart and trying that to see if it would fix it. I read on a couple other forums that theres a way to install knock sensor on the top of intake manifold to by pass taking off the intake manifold anyone done that befor? heres a link Knock sensor relocation

    Thanks in advance
