  1. read that stuff on one of these forums. being caught on the open hwy in a snow storm or in a situation where you have to drive on the hwy in deplorable conditions is where you would be using the 4hi at higher speeds.

    i'll assume you haven't been at it very long by the no traction on ice comment or perhaps you don't live where there is alot of it. so here's a little heads up for ya! a 4wd will always have more traction in slippery conditions. also you will have more control of stearing due to the power being applied to the front whl. thats why front whl drive cars do so much better in slick conditions than rear whl drive. one more time, a 4wd will always have more traction in slippery conditions! we won't be stopping any better than anyone else but we will take off better and have more traction.

  2. so driving to ork the other day, i passed a cop and looked down to see my speed and there was nothing. the speedo doesnt work and also the trip and odom are working either. ive got a 94 xe with power options. i pulled the cluster apart tonight and founs out it is all elect. so my question is, is there a sensor or sumthing in the tranny to need to replace or should i run the codes or what?

  4. i just went through this same prob. mine was the crank seal. mine leaked just like that. left a huge puddle where ever i parked. pull the skid and like mws said wash the piss outa it the start her up and and look right at the crank in the front. and btw, is there oil all over the front of the motor? cause if it is the crank seal, it will drip on the belt and it will pling it every where. just my 2 cents.

  5. first off wow. what a PITA -thnkboutit- it is to change the shoes. first time doing shoes and on a pathy. -thnkboutit- but my question is, after i got done i checked the master cylinder level toped it off and got in for a test drive and the brakes went to the floor but it will stop. if i pump them then if feels normal, but if not the pedal just goes to the floor. do i need to bleed the brakes???? any help would be greatly appreciated. :aok:

  6. thanks everyone but i dont mean to drag this on my just puzzled. after i payed the 10 bones, i was sent to a sticker page to order stickers if i wanted to. well i looked at one and actcidentaly closed instead of pushing back. so asked where the page for stickers was, i got redirected to the thread about the stickers and was to to be patient and put my opion in on the stickers. so my question is what is the difference between the two. i know a flamer question about the stickers but i really want a damn NPORA sticker. damnit and i want it NOW!! j/k :wacko:
