Well the little wife beat me ,kicked me right in my man spot. Everyday here at the landfill i ride around and play in my main battle tank (F350 4x4 ) sometimes i get sick of mud ... Well she has been warning me not to tear up the pathy by wheeling it ! During her summer trip back north she stopped to surf with my son who's in the Coast Gaurd at Nags head .Well she never showed me any pics other than surfing and beer drinking ! Justin just sent me pics of the pathy sand hoggin and not lightly either !! I was wondering how all that sand got in the skid plate i noticed when i serviced it ,it wasn't from just driving down the beach as she had reported ....think the next good rain i am going to need to make a beer run THE LONG WAY around with the pathy . I will send pics..Iam actually happy to have a wife that enjoys the finer things in life ..

And here i was thinking this was a stupid subject it got more replies than i dreamed .YES the problem is 2 beverages and you have a crowd ..think i'm going to the boat store and get me a swivel unit and screw it to the dash ( the wife is going to luv that )

OK guys what kind of ideas have you come up with to combat the tiny cup holders in the console like in my 99 ??? yes i know there are more important things i life but these things Hirohito claim to be cup holders don't cut it they suck

Our 99.5 on vacation Loaded to the hilt .

Idid not swap studs cause i couldn't see all the fuss over getting a few more threads when the lock nut seated perfectly on my stock studs. Got around 6k on my warns with no problems ..just double check your rig may have shorter studs than mine .

DJ believe it or not its a stocker 99.5 rack .the real test is going to be the big trip when she gets back i will repost with the results.My work vehicle is aF350 CREW CAB 4X4 stroker i installed a front front bumper replacement called a RANCHHAND which is really massive (google itif u have never seen ) it dropped MPGs by 1.5 but sure keeps the deer outa my face and i get free fuel via my job.

Just did a 150 miler without the rack ...yer not going to believe this but it picked up 1mpg ..sweet

The wife will be driving from Dallas to the east coast then up to Pittsburg soon .With the Warns installed I am looking for any thing else that might grab her more MPGs .Some one here once mentioned removing the rack seemed to help i figure with all that straight driving what the heck i might be on to something .Last spring we drove to NC with the bikes on back and a roof bag avg around 16 mpg driving the crap outa it .unloaded its the same old 18 .She won't be loaded with anything but 2 suit cases this time . what do you guys think ???

The local tire distributor / shop spun both rotors for 10.00 each ..i popped the drums off sunday and everything looks new back there . the wifey is ready for winter

I did a complete front brake job on my new 99 r50 this past weekend it had about 1/2 wear on the front pads and i turned the rotors to get them true all went well and i prety much liked the design of everything . Question to you guys is this with 30k city miled on this thing and 1/2 worn out pads what do you estimate my rear shoes should look like ???

Hey guys i looked but can not find a recent post about a sticking power antenna .Mine is stuck 1/2 up and i can hear the motor i remmember something about a belt system ?

SORRY FOR THE QUESTION ITS BEEN KICKED AROUND HERE FOR SURE BEFORE. THE NEXT MOD I GO FOR IS GOING TO BE SOME WARN HUBS AM I GOIN TO SEE A BENIFIT IN FUEL ? I REALLY WANT THEM TO EXTEND AXLE SHAFT LIFE BUT SOME MORE MPGs WOULDN'T HURT..

Took the 99 R50 we just got for an 8hour road trip this weekend DFW TO Galveston . This is a cool truck got 18.4 avg mpg running 75 ,very comfortable the new BFG longtrails handled great .had the bikes on the back and the fishing rods up top .
just wanted to say thanks to you guys and your advice . the 3.3 had enough power for us just take the OD off and put your foot on the floor i luv the engine noise .

Rear hatch squeaks a lot when closed i can open it and the noise goes away ...was wondering if you guys have the same problem and if its just the weather strip cause its not a rattle and the hatch fits good
