Does it just rev out in second? You might have got the tranny hot and sent it into "safe mode".
would any dummy lights be on...if it was in safe mode????.....the fluid is fresh....i also have a bad alternator....could it have been low voltage???

went out offroading and i lost 3rd and OD it goes into a neutral state.....any ideas

Kinda sounds to me like the power/at switch is on maybe shorted in the fire?
the switch is bad....could that be the problem

i have had my pathfinder fo about 4 months now....i got it cheap because of an engine fire....anyways after i rebuilt it.... the trans has always acted strange......it shifts late....and under full throttle will hit the rev limiter......the application is good though... fluid is fresh and clean....any advise???

Check your timing. Did you adjust the spark timing after completing the T-belt change?
timing is dead on

Replace your Fuel filter. I did on mine, and had a noticeable increase in mileages, and power.
i replaced the fuel filter 2 months ago...as well as the plugs,wires,timing belt,all vacum hoses,intake manifold gaskets,all fluids and filters and hoses....still no better

As was said, intake/free flowing exhaust will help some.
What transmission do you have, what size tires and what is your driving style like??

it is an automatic.....with 235/70/15....as far as driving habbits go.....i keep up with traffic....lol

Check / do these things.
Air filter
Plugs, wires, cap and rotor
o2 sensor
MAF sensor (clean it)
Oil change
Tire pressure
Adjust Driving habits
Should help.

i have a bone stock 93 pathfinder v6 xe 4 wheel drive......i am getting 14 MPG in city and 16 MPG on highway....it runs strong but i cant figure out why the fuel consumption is so high....any ideas for better gas mileage???????

i also have a bad alternator....and a bad power trans switch.....i hope i can get lucky ....maybe it was low voltage
