my 95 pathy 's power switch light blinks 16 times after i turn thje key on. i know there is a problem with the tranny, but i was hoping to see if any one knows what it may be before i get ito the dealer for repair. it periodically clunks down into gear as it is down shifting . ususally between 40 and 25 mph. now it has developed a small shifting lunge when going down the hwy but it's only slight. this only happens after it has shifted into the last gear. hello, i have a 95 pathfinder with an automatic tranny, that has developed a condition that no one can help me with. as it is downshifting it will reach approx a span of between 40 and 25 MPH and clunks. other than that, it runs and shifts perfectly. it seems to do it more often after you have driven it for some time, even though it will periodically do it . i have even had itto a transmission shop and they seem to think that it is the motor. but it is definatley a tranyy problem. SOME ONE PLEASE HELP!!!! we purchased this from my brother in law who lives in LA approx 5 years ago. we live in oh and we had it serviced shortly after we got it. we are the second owners. i just had it done again when this issue started about 3 months ago, right after the tranny shop said that they thought it was the motor i just told them to sservice it any way. it is so sporatic that when i have someone else look at it, it may not do it for them.
