  1. i was just curious, what axles do yall use for sas. i am wanting to eventually do an sas, but i dont want something expencive, more like an sas with a budget, and i do more mudden then anything else, so i dont need a hardcore swap, it is my daily driver also. i am just kinda setting a new goal for the pathy, cause i cant do one right now cause im still recovering from my bike wreck and cant afford it yet haha. it is a 1990 xe v6 thanks for the input

  2. if you have know idea were the timing belt is located, wether, inside or outside the engine, then please dont replace it your self have at least a mechanic buddy there and supply him with beer, i am not tryn to be a a****le i"m just saying that you could do some searious damage to your engine if you make a mistake while replaceing the timing belt, cause you have to remove it when you replace the water pump you might as well change the thermostat cause that is probably wat caused the water pump to fail in the first place, that is if it is the water pump. but from the pic it looks like to me it could just be the t-stat housing, how many miles does it have?

    I disagree, I think pioneers are the best all around bang for the buck, even the ones at walmart, in fact my brother inlaw acually has a whole pioneer sound system in his explorer, he got from walmart(when they still had the old blue subs)and he has had his longer than mine and it still sounds bad ass. the only reason why i didnt do the same was because i needed shallow mount subs for my old truck.

  4. I've got an old school 60Wx4 Alpine tilt screen deck. 5x7 pioneer door speakers in front with the stock tweeters in the pillars, no rear speakers atm with the stock tweeters, two 12" JBL 1000W subs powered by a 1200W JBL Amplifier... i need to get some 6.5" round speakers for the front and put the 5x7's back in the top sound bar in back. sounds OK, but i need to have it tuned, i can never get it right.

    man your system sounds pritty sweet kinda simaler to mine.

  5. hey i was just wanderin if any one else hae a sound system and what are you running, stock, aftermarket, upgrade comp. any thing just curious, or even just plans or questions?

    i have a pioneer headunit,2 pioneer 6.25" speakers in the front doors, pioneer 500watt rms amp, 1 kenwood 12", and 1 rockford fosgate12", and 2kicker 6x9's in the back, and a 1 farad capacitor. sounds really good inside but kinda rattles a lil outside lol

  6. i went ahead and checked all my connections, they are all good, i checked all my grounds they are all good, i noid lighted all the injectors they all fire perfectly, i checked for spark i have spark at all wires, but i have unburned fuel coming out of my exhaust on the drivers side it is actually leaking out of the egr tube were it connects to the header because it isn't on very tight, and i pulled cylinders 2 and 4's spark plug and they were soaked with fuel, i didn't pull cylinder 6 yet but i assume the same thing, but cylinders 1,3,and 5 are perfectly fine still. so every thing appears to be operating perfect except for those 2 spark plugs being soaked. it still smokes and is still very hard to start. what else should i do, i am goin to change all 6 plugs anyway to see if that helps, but i am lost, this is the kind of stuff that school didn't teach me, lol. what else should i do?

I just put six new injectors in my pathy(blue dot, the first set I bought were black dot from oriellies and they didn't work at all), started it up and it ran perfect shut it of than about 10 minutes later started it up, and drove it up to the gass station and it ran perfect still, so I put premium gass in it and it ran terribaly back home and to my friend house, I pulled codes and all that came up was 55 no malfuntion, do yall think that it could be the gass or somthing else.

  8. i have three codes, 14 vehicle speed sensor, 33 heated o2 sensor, 51 injector circuit. when it says injector circuit does it mean the injector or the electrical? because when i got new headers on my pathy i got pacesetter so they are painted and on the drivers side one tubes paint didn't burn off, so i was wondering if that is the injector that is randomly firing? it is running rough kinda like a random missfire at idle till about 2500 rpm.

  9. you might as well just get new cv axles versus new boots thats just my opinion. when was the last time you did your upper and lower ball joints, because if you grab the wheel top and bottom and there is movement it could be the ball joints. when you check for bearings you grab it on the left and right of the wheel and shake, and the top and bottom of the wheel and shake, if it moves in both places then the bearings are bad/need repacked. hope this helped.

  10. neither one have worked since i got the pathfinder, i didn't really care about that because i always chill with traffic when i am driving the pathfinder vs my chevy until i got a ticket luckily the cop was cool and just gave me one for no seat belt and a warning for speeding anyway, how do i fix the speedometer/odometer every thing else works fine, just not those two. i wanna fix it before i go to north carolina considering there are always allot of cops whenever i drive threw georgia , and here lately. any help would be nice i have never fixed one before.thanx

  11. i have a question, the compresion rods the are on the lower control arm in the back were they mount to the frame, i am changing the bushing and what is the easiest way to do it? so far on the passenger side i have the nut that goes on the rod that goes threw the frame and the first bolt on but i cant get the other bolt in, i have been prying on the bar and i come close but i still cant get the bolt in? is there an easy way to do it? i am putting moog bushings in so they are stiffer than the stock ones. there is propably an easier way but i am just to stupid to figure it out. it was easy to get it apart kinda
