  1. I bought a copy of a CD off ebay (twice this happened, same guy).

When the CD finally arrived, there was only 1 file on it, every time, a music file that did not work/open. After a few exchanges of msg with the seller, he said i could DL a copy from this place. That was after promising another copy, and a free copy of any other manual i chose.

I asked the guy, does he chk what is on the CD when he posts them....no reply.

He said i could DL it off the web, I said i live in a remote area, and it costs a lot for wireless, and to please send me a good copy. Well, it never arrived.

I did DL it. And he has just photo copied a book. So i asked him if he had rights to it as it was copy right book, i got no answer, so i reported him to ebay, hope he got some karma...

Hope you all got a free copy from him, lol.

If anyone wants the sellers name, pm me.

    He is an A#$e H*&e

you all have a nice day

  2. wow, so close.

I saw your pics, I have the same colour pathfinder, and have pics in some of the same places as yours, lol. But mine isn't bent.

My wagon has no tacho, would you sell your instrument cluster? Might cost too much in friehgt for the bullbar.

  3. H233b diff locks 31 spline.

After several months of researching various diff locks for my D21 Pathfinder here is what I have found. Besides air lockers.

Power Trax make a locker for the 2 and 4 spider gear diffs (2 or 4 pinion)

Model 3210 for the 2 pinion

Model 3220 for the 4 pinion

These only replace the center part, eg the spider gears, so is not suitable for an LSD diff.

Cost around $350 + $60 shipping to Aust

Eaton, make a Detroit locker part #187SL-167A

Supposedly stronger, this replaces the whole center, ie you replace the whole center assy, and bolt your ring gear to it. Suitable to replacing the gust of an LSD diff, and 2 or 4 spider gear diff.

Cost around $620 + $188 shipping to Aust.

All these stay locked, but one side unlocks for cornering, when torque is removed. But, if when cornering, you put your foot down, they will lock, and push you straight ahead. I’ve also read they can make some noise as they unlock and lock.

H233b diffs are in the front of some patrols, if they be 2 or 4 spider gear I’m not sure. This maybe why some retailers only stock a locker for the font of a Patrol even though its an H233b diff there

I intend get the Detroit in the new year.

    Hope this helps someone.

  4. Hi from Aussie.

I want to put a locker in my rear diff, it's a non-lsd H233. But, I need to know if it has a 2 or 4 spider gear inside. I don't really want to disassemble it twice.

All you guys who have installed diff lockers, or done diff work, how many are 2 and how many are 4 spider diffs?

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks

  5. Look at the bright side.......LOCKER :jig:

Hey there TerranoNZ. Lokka for the rear diff.

Could you piont me in the right direction where to get one of these, please. I have a Z24 petrol Pathfinder, open diff, H233b as far as i can tell. Don't know if it 2 or 4 spider gears, or 27/31/33 spline.

I have heard it'd the same as the front of a Partol, but don't know what model/year.

Do you know what model lokka fits, or of anyone who has one fitted?

I've been searching all over, and not had a straight answer.

    Thanks mate

  6. I have a 24ltr motor in my pathfinder, the z24, but gutless, but that the 2.4 is common here in aussie, or some 3ltr v6s. Some guys re-power with a holden (GM) 3.8ltr v6. In New Zealand, the Terrano is common as mud, and nearly all have the 2.7 turbo diesel. Has anyone ever replaced a petrol engine, z24 ka24, vg3 etc, with a diesel?

  7. hi all

Nice looking wagon there Phaza, what size wheels/tires you got there?

Thanks you the mail Long, i'll look you up, if i don't move to the manawatu, i'll sure be down there seeing a mate, and going hunting. I may do a year in NT before i come/go back tho.

TerranoNZ, nice collection of 2dr d21s there mate.

Whats the story in NZ regarding lift/mods? Can you do 2" bl and sus lift, or 2" total?

And how far can you go increasing tire size, width and overall dia.

Gezzzz it's hot here at the moment

  8. hi again,

yeah, im not looking to import to make some money, but if i've spent money on mods/upgrades/new bits , i don't want to give them away. Heading to Nth Is, not sure where until i find a job. Waikato or Palmerston Nth areas. There're still a lot of places I've yet to explore.

  9. I've looked in the LTSA site, fact sheet 44a. Returning resident and citizens don't have to comply with the frontal damage guff, or the the emission thing, if it's been owned a few years, and isn't sold within a year of returning. My reason to bring it is to not lose so much money. ie, I'd have to sell it quickly when i leave here (aussie) and get what i could, then to buy another in NZ, and spend more money getting it to how i want it. I've emailed them. thanks guys.

  10. Hi all,

Im going to replace my tyres at the end of the year, so want to get it right.

What size wheels does everyone have on their Pathfinders? (D21)

What are standard? Mine has 15” and they look small, I thought my last one had 16”, maybe I just didn’t take enough notice.

Does the D22 have larger dia wheels and would they fit?

Also, the larger dia wheels must have the effect of reducing the gearing, like starting off in 2nd, make the wagon a bit gutless? But better fuel economy. And, must put extra strain on the brakes, because of the larger lever (wheel). Has this been a concern for anyone?

Is the stud pattern the same for D21s D22s and Patrols?

    Thanks

  11. Hi all,

I recognise a few names in here. I'm a kiwi in Ipswich, (yeah I've heard all the jokes) I'm in the 4wd-action forum.

I had a rough pathfinder that needed a lot of work, bought another one, same year but better. I like them.

Now the mods start, nothing too major as it's my daily ride. But enought to keep me busy on weekends when I'm not out playing.

    Are these projects ever finished........
