  1. First of all I would like to ask you a question. I am looking on the net for brake rotors for my 2005 Pathfinder. I have to change them and I would like to put some aftermarket disks that are improving the braking abilities. All the brake rotor pictures I saw have 5 holes not 6 as I have on the wheel. Is that strange? I couldn't find one with 6 holes. They do not show the actual picture of the products.

If you have any information on this issue I apreciate and also some links. I hope that the european model R51 has the same disks as the US R51.

Second, searching on the net I discovered this:

    www.mattracks.com

They have them also for R51 Pathfinder at a price between USD 24.000 and USD 32.000 a set of 4 .

So if you live in a place that you may use them, go for it. It seems to be a lot of fun and also very usefull. Also search on Youtube for Mattracks. You will find some cool movies too.

Good luck for 2009 and looking forward to some answers!

  2. A/T's of your choice. I don't tell other people what to buy...get what you want and you need and can afford.

Of course I don't need to be told what to buy. Just want to know what do you use for this kind of duties. What are using friends or other people wiht this kind of activities. I will choose one, finally after studying them.

Also I am from Europe so here we have a little bit other kind of tires that in the US. That is why I specially want to see what to look for like breaking on wet/dry, traction on/off road, traction on snow and so on. How the safety gadgets like EDB, ESP, ABS, ASR, are influenced by diferent type of tires specially when pulling heavy trailers?

    Thanx!

  3. I have a dilema. One of my friends has a pick-up Nissan Navara and he is going to pull a boat. The boat is heavy, in not an inflatable one. I know that is a very dangerous activity if it is not done as requested. One of his problem is to choose the right tires. What would you recomend for road but also some mud and some terrain?

    Thanx!

  4. Hi! I saw some comments on the net regarding using wheel spacers to increase stability. Now I don't have such a large experince to understand that. That is why I ask you if you can tell me the pro's and con's regarding using wheel spacers on a Pathi. What else must be changed in order to accomodate wheel spacers?

    Thanx!

  5. I made an engine tunning using external chip. If you would come to Bucharest I could give you the address and/or phone number. It was only 400USD. They are having Dyno measurements before and after. I also saw there another tunned Pathfinder that had 250 Hp with a 575Nm torque !!!

Regarding the price, my car, which is a 2005 Pathfinder SE it was 39.900 Euro brand new from dealer. You can find second-hand Pathfinders on www.mobile.de

    Best regards!

  6. Buy an european model. Diesel, 174Bhp, 420 Hm, automatic 5 gears, 12L/100KM (21 MPG).

Price? "Only" 40.000 Euro for SE !! That means 52.000USD !!!Now what?

You shoud be happy with the prices you have there! And BTW we pay around 1,2 Euro/L for unleaded or 1 Euro/L for diesel. That means an equivalent price of 4,95 USD/gallon.

It seems that you should return the car to the dealer for a full refund or an exchange. Without any other comments. Or contact the manufacturer and file a complaint.

  7. Hi

I am new on this site because I found it only today. I have a 2005 PF /SE, made in Spain with a 2,5L turbo-diesel engine, 174hp at 420Nm torque. I have 23.000km without a problem. I hear no noises except when I open the driver's window there is a rattle from inside the door but I can fix it just lifting the window a little bit.

I live in Romania/Europe and our roads looks more like a semi-off-road but I had no problem even during the winter at -25C and 50cm of snow. I am very satisfied.

If I may have a suggestion I would advise you to write directly to the factory. Maybe they can help you. Good luck!
