Update: Got the oil changed yesterday. The tech who told me about the leak said that the Pathfinder was down a quart of oil. Have driven it some since getting the oil changed and the check engine light has gone out.

I just learned today that the Pathfinder has an oil leak. Could this cause the P1110 and P1135 codes? Thanks.

One last question; can a malfunctioning vacuum cut bypass valve have a negative impact on fuel economy? Thanks again.
-
Thanks for your reply. Can fueling your vehicle with the engine running cause this code?

I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with 207k on the clock and it is passing ODB-II codes P1491, P1110 and P1135. Anyone have a clue what's going on? Thanks

I have a 2001 Pathfinder. Can anyone tell me what is the most common cause(s) for this light to come on? Thanks.

Considering the purchase of a 1999 Pathfinder with 175,000 miles. The owner says the T/B was changed @ 147k back in 2008. What should I look out for on this truck? Thanks.

Ok, when the frame on a 95 Pathfinder has rusted out, what are your options other than parting it out? Thanks.

I was thinking it was the belt tensioner also. Is this an expensive fix? Thanks...

I have a loud whining sound coming from under the hood of my 1993 Pathfinder. The whining sound mainly occurs when the truck is cold. After it's had a chance to heat up, the whining sound goes away. Any ideas?

Can someone give me an idea of what it would cost to replace a knock sensor and repair a faulty speedometer on a '96 Pathy? Looking @ a used truck that needs these issues addressed. Thanks.

Headlights are working fine.

I have a 1993 Pathfinder with 190k on the clock. Recently it has developed a problem where the dash lights and tail lights sometimes will cut off. After some time they will work again. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks.

The passenger side headlight doesn't work. I replaced the bulb but still no go. The high beam light comes on but the low bean does not. The light that illuminates the instrument panel does not come on. Both tail lights don't work. Brake lights work fine but tail lights will not come on. Any ideas? Thanks.

There is a local dealer who's selling a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder with 281k on the odometer. With mileage that high, what should I look out for? Dealer is asking $2495. Thanks.

Ok, got another problem with my '94 Pathy 4x4. There is a rubbing like sound coming from underneath the truck - maybe towards the front. I can only hear it when the truck is in motion and it seems to correspond with how fast I'm going. I don't think it's the brakes even though I could use some new pads. Any ideas?

Will do. Thanks...

Maybe, but right before my water pump took a dump the engine started to run like sh*t. -

There is a screeching like sound that can be heard upon startup every so often. Seems to be coming from underneath and up front. I've taken the truck to a couple of different shops and nobody could identify the cause of the hestitation which only occurs when the truch starts rolling from a stop. -

Certain noises it sometimes makes when I start it up leads me to believe it has a problem with the bottom end. Plus, an issue with a slight hesitation I was never able to get solved..... -

Yeah, Nissan starters suck - big tyme. Honestly, I believe there may be a problem with my motor's bottom end. I'm not 100% sure as I'm not a gear- head but there is no point in getting all that other stuff fixed if the bottom end is broke....
