tks 4 the advice however I know how to select 4x4,so I am going to think its just stuck (siezed up ) from lack of use,even my mechanic tried to get it in 4hi. When I get some cash I will try & rectify & post my results.tks again

Thats what he said its probable siezed...because the previous owner was a older lady & she may have never used it.

Got a 95 a month ago ,found out after no 4x4. WONT EVEN BUDGE. My mechanic says it can be fixed,but since I'm in canada and winter is over It can wait 4 now.I've been readining and hope its not the transfer case.Anyone with similar exp?

Hi I bought a 95 pathfinder 3 weeks ago,the tank was near empty and I filled up with the cheapest gas.The next day the cel came on I read the manual and it said to use 91 octane .I used this since but light still comes on ,sometimes it goes away for a while but returns. Just want to know if if anyone has same problem and what gas you all using?
