Typically, most modern Nissans use brackets that bolt to the side of the head unit and then to the sheet metal at the front of the deck.
To remove: The plastic surround panel usually just pulls forward and pops off. And then there are usually 2 screws on each side of the deck staring straight at you. Remove them and the deck slides out.
But I have never worked on or seen the interior of this model, so NO GUARANTEES it is typical.
If the panel doesn't want to pop off, look for semi-concealed screws in vent, ashtray cavities, etc.
BTW, it is extremely rare for factory decks to have pre-amp outputs. You'll likely have to use a line level converter or change head units.
For another tip, call Crutchfield and ask them how to add an amp. Their database will likely contain info on whether the head has outputs or not.
And if you order the stuff from them, they will give you adapters and idiot proof instructions for free. Great company to work with. You can find cheaper elsewhere, but rarely will you find better value.
I will get a pic ofthe dash later, i am almost sure it wont come apart that way. Its more "molded" than anything. It will need a dash kit for sure.

Hey Tuned, have you changed the stock deck in the B15? My brother has a B15 and has been wanting me to install an amp and sub in it. How the hell do you take it out to see if it has pre-outs or not?
No, mine is still stock. I have the 300watt, fosgate system.
www.b15sentra.net would be a good place to start

I don't see why you guys talk smack about those. I am running them and as most of you know I deliver food. With my old bulbs I would have a hard time seeing addresses on mailboxes but with the Silverstars it's just not a problem anymore. Nice pictures... I still haven't taken a picture of mine even though I've had them for half a year.
Thanks :cool2:
-
Yeah I've been wanting to try out those Silverstars. How much did you pay for them?
My what a shiny hood you have! :o
I think they were like $36 at autozone.
And I just washed her , thats why she was shining.

Hey, isn't that a Suzuki Kan-a-tuna in the foreground?
Yes it is, this is a pic ofthe car at the previous owners home as we were bringing in the F250 and car trailer to get it home. I never got pics of the car outside in my driveway, it came home and went straight into the garage, where its been since october.....Wow, i need to get moving on it,

As promised, here are the pics of the sliverstars in my 2004 R50. I think they shine a lot better than the stock bulbs,.
Not the most steady hand
I will try and get better pics this weekend if anyone wants them.

step 1. go into any automotive supplies or truck accessories store
step 2. purchase the flat 4 to 7 pin adapter for chump change or electric brake controller for a bit more
step 3. enjoy
I hope it tows this easy. Thanks for the input.

I say go with the 510. They are sweet. I love there boxy look.
Speaking of a turbo'ed SE-R. Here is a pic of my old Black turbo SE-R./ Best 1/4 mile time(slipping clutch, 2.003-60' on slicks) was a 12.7@110. It was ran at 13PSI on a T28 hybrid turbo.
Past rides. Im partial to Nissan for sure.
1995 240sx SE 5 speed.
2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT(Was the wifes)
Current. The Pathfinder towing my Ninja.
The motor coming out of the red 200sx.
And the car I almost bought. I regret passing up this one.
A datsun Z.
See my Blue sentra in the background.

I also have this SE-R hiding behind garage door No 2.
Got her for next to nothing. She threw a rod(hit 12,000 rpms, missed the shift going from the top of 3rd, hit 2nd instead of 4th=bang.)
She will be running by march.
-
Thanks. It was cool out today, maybe 45 degrees. It was almost to cold to go out and wash them, but I suffered through it, and it was worth it. They were in need of a bath badly. I havent washed them in 2-3 weeks. Its been to cold.

I got busy today, with a fresh bath for the pathy and Spec, and decided to snap a few photos with my christmas gift, a samsung 7.0Megapixel digital camera. Nothing has changed to either the pathy or spec, but the pics turned out good. Now, onto them..
I hope to have the B14 running by late Febuary/early march, and then I can get pictures of the whole family.

I will post a pic of the R50 with silverstars if the weather holds out and I can get a good shot of them tonight.
Also, good read.

Im looking into an enlcosed trailer for the Ninja and my Brother's Gixxer. We have decided on a 7x12, dual axle, and they weigh around 2,000lbs enpty. Add another 1,000lbs forthe bikes and gear and Im at 3,000. I have a class III hidden hitch on the truck, but I might as well get the use out of the trailer, being it has electri brakes.
My Pathfinder has the factory "flat 4" style wiring. The new trailer is a 7 wire "camper" style. How do I mod the wiring for the 7 wire style. Also, I will need a trailer brake controller. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advanced.

yea those titan wheels make it look sexy! as if it isn't already sexy from the get go =P
Its the wheels...

The hubs on R50s are 100 mm, the hubs on Titans are 75 mm or so. If you want to install these rims on an R50, you must have your center holes bored. If you have access to a mill, or a buddy at a machine shop, you can save a lot of money.
Is this lifted at all or stock ride height?
-
Took it in today. They adjusted the rears, cleaned them and now its good to go...

What do air bags usually sell for, and is this a DIY type install. I have swapped several FWD motors as wel las a RWD, and done many suspension jobs. I have an air compressor and all spring tools.
Got a link to a vendor

That looks great. I know the darker wheels on my silver pathy would look good. Ebay it is.
PS, I work in a machine shop...

After calling them, and saying my truck was there last friday, and they made no mention of it, the guy says the brakes are suppost to be adjusted and cleaned during the 15K mile service. I got him to look at it this coming monday. We shall see. Im not paying anything for this, since its a new truck still. Not even 12K miles.

Ijust had it there last week, and they didnt say a thing about it, butthat figures. The wife drives it 99% of the time. I doubt she left the P brake on, we dont use it. They squeek when you allpy the brakes, not all the time. Looks like I will be calling them tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice.
-
Is this normal. Our 04 pathy has almost 12K miles on it, and the rear brakes squeek like there is no tomorrow. Should I be going to the dealer, or is it normal?
-
As the title says, i like the look of the Titan wheels, the 18's, there not overkill and they look good in the gunmetal color. Will they bolt up, and will the offsets work? Im sure the tires are to big, but what aboutthe wheels?
Yes, we arent into offroading, our pathfinder hasnt seen much mud in its life, probley never will.

Pathfinder r50's rear suspension sucks..Uprade Upgrade!!
Any suggestions? I dont want a lift, the wife drives it. Something to help the back when towing, or hauling any rear passengers..
-
Is this some sort of option? My wife's '05 LE wont do it with the remote but her former 99 Maxima base model did. I havent tried the key in the door option but it seems we all have random results on the fob.
How do you alter the programs?
Dont know for sure, mine came that way when we bought it new in 04
how to make my pathy sound more like a 350z.
