  1. ok well my plate looks different then that one pictured. It is about half the size, and there is still a big metal gasket that needs to come out, would that be a gasket that went around the whole tranny? or what?
  2. ok that helps alot thank you, what size socket should i use?
  3. Ok, i am dropping the transmission in my 1990 pathfinder 4x4 and I am getting throught it pretty good so far. I just took the starter off so i can access the torque converter bolts, yet i cannot get to the bolts. I can see them but do not have a clue on how to get a socket or a wrench in there to get them out. Any ideas??? Thank you!!

    Exhaust question

alright i got the right size, now i need to figure out how to get the bolts out, they are pretty rusted right into the pipe... any ideas or tricks?

  6. i am taking my exhaust off from the manifold in order to remove my tranny, were all your nuts on the studs different sizes? or what size sockets did you use to take the nuts off?
  7. I have a 1990 Nissan pathfinder 4x4 se and i am currently removing tha tranny to do a rebuild because it broke, to do this i need to take out the exhaust, does anyone know the size of the bolts that connect the pipe to the manifold? I got one out using a 5/8" but it will not fit the last two. are they all different sizes or what? I was thinking maybe a 17 or 18mm. I do not have either of those sockets so before i buy them i wanna know for sure what size the nuts on the studs are. Thank you!
