I finally got my back up lights installed. I chose the Blazer brand lights that you can get from auto zone because they are inexpensive and will match the Thule lights I plan to get in the future. Also plan to put some on the sides as well and for as much as I will use them this was a good deal. I used 14 gauge wire and the lights are connected with quick connects so I can change them out in the future if I like. Also the wire can easily be disconnected at the base of the bike rack incase I would like to disconnect the rack from the car. I use a 30amp relay and 15 amp fuse from the battery to the relay. I connected the power for the switch from the cigarette liter. I went with what I like to call the BIG RED switch, because I think it look pretty good and it’s really bright so if I leave the lights on I’ll know it. The switch still look a little off center but I will fix that shortly.
